Re: NZ hosting Australia 2024- Cricket series thread
Right, I'm calling it now, here's how the game's gonna go. We're gonna win the toss. The pitch is green as f*ck. Australia are 65/4 at lunch with Khawaja 32* and Marsh 4*. We all get our hopes up for a second. Then the pitch flattens out, both in batters score tons, and Australia end the day 290/6. ...

Re: Jaguares back in Super Rugby
super Rugby has become a joke, it really has. I blame Australia mostly. They have run their rugby over there so poorly and have pretty much given up all the ground they gained in the 90s and 00s. In fact, they've gone backwards. So now tiny NZ is left alone trying to prop up super rugby by itself a...

Good bye TV 3 news hub . The minister isn’t interested in saving it either, perhaps understandably . Lets keep in mind the following "The company has yet to release its 2023 financial results but Kyne confirmed its position - it lost $35 million in 2022 and $21m in 2021 - had not improved." I think...

You might be on to something there Ted. Inner city appartments in Christchurch have had no trouble being moved regardless of the price. The problem is their price actually, it's nothing 'affordable'. But if we can get a chunk of the population moved inwards it'll help with a bunch of issues. Yea $5...

Phil Waugh talking tough? Phil Waugh is challenging Australia's under-performing Super Rugby sides to finally stand up to their New Zealand rivals for the sake of the Wallabies and the ailing code in general. The All Blacks have enjoyed a mortgage-like hold on the Bledisloe Cup since 2003, way back ...

Both went 1 win, 2 losses in preseason. This match odds are Chiefs $1.60 v Crusaders $2.45
I'd expect the Chiefs to take it easily at home.

Re: Hurricanes 2024. The Midget is gone!
Well looks like the Rebels aren't the only SR team in financial strife.. The Wellington Rugby Football Union (WRFU) is discussing selling down its 50% share in the Hurricanes after the union’s 2022 annual report confirmed a loss of $970,000, despite winning the NPC in that year. Wellington is also b...

I was dumbfounded however that (if it were true) the NZ education levels were so far behind an internationally recognised educational standard. The dean at a local Christchurch private school said "NCEA is for the students with absolutely no hope of passing cambridge". Which pretty much sums it up.
