Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
It's not a strength thing, it's a bone hardening thing. Exposure to the heavy weights and more time in scrums should be phased in after skeletal maturity. And that might have happened now for them, or it could still be happening and if you then load top end test rugby on them that's just a lot more....

Feels like we have some key players now. Martin has started the games against SA, Ireland and France. We’ve won one and the other two have been within a point or two. He adds real grunt that you need. Earl is a menace, does everything. Lawrence genuine 12 finally Free-Bank is dangerous returning. W...

I wouldn't be aghast to see Rodd return, but equally I've not seen anything yet which makes me concerned we might not see him back. And one needn't be swayed by experts, Eddie Jones or otherwise. Frankly there's very little point posting on the internet if you're going to let yourself be distracted ...

That Ireland win the 6N and there are complaints about selection and performance really speaks to the improved standards.

No issues with that last penalty. I think it was a penalty, and even if you think it wasn't the picture to the officials made it a reasonable call (i.e. not even close to a shocker) Interesting in hindsight he'd have had a better shot staying tall and looking to jackal over a carrier already going t...

Re: Wales Vs Italy - 6N Official Match Thread - Welsh wooden 🥄?
. Jarrod's defence is sh1te, Costelow's is good. Tis why one is out of, and the other in the Welsh squad. His reading what's his man and communication along the line and work in contact might be okay, it's looked wobbly but that could easily be problems inside and outside him. His depth coverage re...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Has everyone forgotten Bevan Rodd? Or is never coming back? I'm not sure he's a test level player. Hopefully he both comes back and proves he is, but he looks a nice club option that's just a bit off the pace physically thus far at the very top of the game. That could easily be he's only just start...

Re: U.S. politics thread and Joe Biden-the Ronan O'Gara of U.S. Presidents
You’re expecting him to ‘fix’ the Supreme Court ffs; despite there being no actual way to do a thing about it. Why set the gits low standards? The political leader gets two sorts of commentary on their progress, criticism for suff they've cocked up and criticism for stuff they haven't done yet. If ...

I never said the 1st year didn't count. He needed to nurse the team through to the RWC, with a limited gameplan - and he got just about as much out of the tournament as could be expected - but the real rebuild was always going to be on hold until after the RWC. I'm not convinced by his, or the team...

Don't POTUS' picks need to re ratified by congress? Of course. And POTUS cannot replace a sitting judge because of any requirements. Well, Earl has been very good at 8, certainly the best we've had there for quite a while. Daly pretty poor and Marcus at 15 a bit of a shot in the dark - but at least it was adventurous. He doesn't select the players I would, but he has, at least, started to move in the right direction. He's really...

How should Biden have addressed the power balance of the Supreme Court? I don't know if I'd have gone with increasing the numbers, but for sure I wouldn't have left them judging their own (corrupt) behaviour. In any event what Biden has done is nothing, and that's not good given it's now controlled...

I would give the Tories some leeway on attacking the financial crash in '07 as being Labour's fault if I thought the Tories would have acted more strongly on banking regulation, but somehow I have my doubts. It's a valid point as the game becomes increasingly professional and very little separates the players themselves. Perhaps or perhaps it's just using stats to prove a point you want to make? I mean, does it actually matter who we pick at left winger when we’ve had evidence that the backs touched the ball once in training during a session?
