Re: Tour de France 2020
Boassen Haggen will win today. Sagan a good shout as well EBH's lead out man put him in front a tad too early and forced him into an early sprint. He looked like he really had the legs today, but VWE timed it much better. Cracking stage though. Bora and Ineos were exceptional I thought. Carapaz ver...

Jumbo flexed their muscles a bit there. VWA's pull up that mountain was crazy. Is there anything he can't do?
JA keeps yellow, and will probably keep it until the weekend.

Re: Tour de France 2020
Daft question. What is the point of Cousin being sent of ahead and riding most of this stage on his own. He’s going to be caught so what is he achieving? There was not much point, seeing that the only thing remaining were minor Mountains points and some sprint points. I suppose he just wanted his d...

An awful amount of falls today, a few of the favourites got caught, didn't they? Who could be the good prospects for tomorrow? Feels a bit early for a hard mountain stage... It wasn't that hard of a stage, big group with all the main favourites in it finished together. Alaf takes the stage and the ...

Re: The Official UCI Pro Cycling Thread
Dumoulin has got one eye on the Giro I reckon... I think after Roglic's crash in the Dauphine, Dumoulin is on high alert for any sign of #1 cracking. You'd normally expect the 2IC to bury himself in service of the big boss, but I think Dumoulin will be under instructions to avoid going too deep unt...

Froome & Thomas left out of Ineos TDF squad - bit surprised regards Thomas, but I guess he didn't show enough in the Dauphine + Sivakov appears to be in good form so will take his place Thomas to re-calibrate for a tilt at the Giro, Froome similarly for the Vuelta Can't say I'm too surprised. Busy day at the Dauphine today. Bernal DNS due to a problem with his back. And then there was crash involving Kruiswijk and three Bora riders (including Buchmann), and they have all abandoned. Kruiswijk has dislocated his shoulder, so his participation in the Tour is in doubt. This weakens TJV a bit...

Re: The Official UCI Pro Cycling Thread
I think Bennett’s been angling for some greater leadership role for a while, so he might get some freedom at one of the other GTs, but 2 of Roglic, Dumoulin and Kruiswijk are going to finish the Tour doing domestique work, and those guys may feel they deserve a title shot later in the season too. I...

Duane Vermeulen for me. I used to see a slow number 8 with limited skills early on in his career. I thought he'd never be more than a solid super rugby player.

The "black market" stuff was ridiculously expensive. Okes were selling R200 gin bottles for R700. An R80 Beer 6-pack was going at almost R300.
I decided very early that it was not worth it and haven't had a drink since mid-April when my stock ran out.
