Re: Jake White: No more overseas-based Boks
We might see 50 000 people in a stadium when we finally relax the restrictions, but I believe it's not sustainable. There's just attractions that are better for a family than a day at the rugby. I would love to see a return to those days. But even before covid, numbers were falling. I don't necessa...

Re: Jake White: No more overseas-based Boks
So what is the best way to protect your domestic game do you think? It's definitely about money. Beyond that, the only thing I could think that might keep players in SA is for the domestic game to come back to life and for stadiums to go back to 50,000 a game like it used to be. But the only thing ...

Re: Jake White: No more overseas-based Boks
Bring in something like the Crims or Taffs have - you can pick players that have so many national/franchise caps in the bank plus say 2 exceptions. That could be workable no? We had that rule in a while ago, before Rassie scrapped it. There was a 30 cap limit. Actually a very good idea in practice....

Re: Jake White: No more overseas-based Boks
I have respect for Jake White, but what he's proposing is very out of date. Why would players take a paycut and play in SA where we are red flagged constantly? Why break your body in meaningless derbies year after year?

All of this could have been avoided if Nic Berry did a half decent job at his chosen profession. Like any job, there is going to be an investigation if there is a balls up.

Be afraid France. Our coaching staff have a cunning game plan in mind. They're pretend the current one is fine and keep doing it. You'll team won't be expecting that! Panic stations yet? I'm not sure sport is something that deserves panic. But certainly frustration that the issues we've been talkin...

Makes no sense to drop Elton and start Pollard I would have preferred Elton as well, with Pollard out of form. There is a reason Pollard was (maybe still is) the highest paid rugby player in the world last year and no overseas club tried to head-hunt Junkies Look, he is one of my favorite pla...

Re: Match thread: England v Boks - Saturday, November 20
This whole issue of the snub of South Africa for any awards, and by extension Rassie's inquest by World Rugby, could not be better motivation for the Boks. This team is a unique bunch of players who seem to enjoy this sort of provocation, perhaps because so many of them come from rough backgrounds....

Re: Springboks #1, Thank you Ireland, All Blacks
Springboks now the only SH team unbeaten on tour in NH I think England will change that. Vengance for the WC final. Not really vengeance tho, is it? Beating us in our last test of the year after a gruelling season. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Yep. There's no subsequent win that will make a W...

What about Steyn, Van den Merve, etc? The Safscots all played well to our advantage so all of them high ratings for sa and low when rating them as Scots. There is a video circulating whereby our waterboy tell one of the Springboks during the game how sh*t one of them is under the high ball. That wa...
