Bring in something like the Crims or Taffs have - you can pick players that have so many national/franchise caps in the bank plus say 2 exceptions. That could be workable no? We had that rule in a while ago, before Rassie scrapped it. There was a 30 cap limit. Actually a very good idea in practice....

I have respect for Jake White, but what he's proposing is very out of date. Why would players take a paycut and play in SA where we are red flagged constantly? Why break your body in meaningless derbies year after year?

This whole issue of the snub of South Africa for any awards, and by extension Rassie's inquest by World Rugby, could not be better motivation for the Boks. This team is a unique bunch of players who seem to enjoy this sort of provocation, perhaps because so many of them come from rough backgrounds....
