Re: The gap between the North and the South
Ireland have won 14 and lost 6 of our last 20 games against NZ, Oz, SA and Argentina. 4-1 in our last 5 games against both Australia and Argentina and 3-2 in our last 5 games against both NZ and South Africa, stretching back to 2014. There's a fairly even split between games at home, games down und...

Re: Should we start to worry about Brodie Retallick?
The majority of posters wanted SA out of SupeRugby. All Black management and players for years have said they need them. It's a different style they need young guys to be used to, and the travel/pressure of playing in the republic means by the time they make it to the top level they know their shit...

The match that we should have been least worried about, just got very interesting with Scotland beating Australia. Bring it on! I think this game is going to be unlike any Bok game in recent years with Elton seemingly being given the freedom, at least in part, to play his natural game and him start...

Niebaber's rationale is suspect, surely a player deserves more credit for playing well when his team is up against it? Sounds like he didn't want to pick them and is just making excuses. I think due to the loss of a year he will keep with the same core squad from 2019 and then have wholesale change...

On the Stan Sport Aussie coverage, Andrew Mehrtens was steamed with the Boks' approach to the tackle. They would make the tackle on the All Black player, bring him to ground, continue to hold man and ball, and win the penalty. He mentioned it a few times. Mehrtens hates everything about South Africa.

The All Blacks need some Mealamu/Kaino/Thorn types, guys who can gain hard metres around the ruck without being turned over. Except for maybe Taukei’aho we don’t really have guys that get get go forward and get rush defences back-pedalling or breaking through and getting in behind the rush defence....
