Surprised there aren't any shouts of poach over our dressage riders, Charlotte Dujardin and Laura Bechtolsheimer.

Re: London 2012 official OLYMPICS discussion
Apparently one of the sponsor logos in the corner of the equestrian field is causing some "spooking" issues for the horses. Perhaps Pedigree Chum wasn't the best choice of sponsor?

We should instigate a new type of triathlon... how about rowing, track cycling and then back into the water for a spot of sailing? Reckon we should be able to hold our own.

The commentators trying to explain who is where in the womens omnium - and not succeeding  Most incomprehensible scoring system ever - might help if they had some graphics giving the places instead of guessing! The commentators were utterly clueless on the men's road race as well - getting nam...

You're going for another 3 golds by the way brits in Equestrian I believe. Skelton is favourite for the individual jumping on Wed. Then there is the team and individual Dressage to go and GB were in front there as well in the Grand Prix stage. Has anybody else found any newspapers/media coverage wh...

At the very least, it'd be amusing and there's a chance you'd get over the jumps easier??

Re: London 2012 official OLYMPICS discussion
Didn't Bauge beat Kenny in the World Champs earlier on in the year? Tough one to call but, judging by Kenny's attitude against the Malaysian rider yesterday, he could pull it off. Team GB have been preparing for the Olympics. You'd think off the last few world championships they were weaker but hav...

Gatlin wins the second heat in 9.97. fudge me that was blazing. This track is very fast indeed  A lot of athletes have said that now and makes me wonder how they can make a 'fast track'. Is it made of a slightly different material than normal or are the conditions just right? Burning coals...

To put things in perspective, Ennis clearly is in top form for speed. She has just topped her personal best for 1 day. Next-up is long jump. If Ennis performs she will likely be in the top 3 based off prior championships, the two ladies in 2nd and 3rd likely to be in the top 10, Ennis can expect to...

Stopped off in Antwerp on the way back from our holiday where I proposed. Wasn't after a ring but bought the diamond there and it was less than half the UK retail price (and less again if you compare to some of the more expensive high street jewellers). Took it into a good local jewellers and my wif...

Chilli Oil is easy. Just wash and halve your chillis lengthways. Stick them in a swingtop sealable bottle (similar to a Grolsch beer bottle) and fill it up with a good quality olive oil. Leave to sit for at least 12 months. All the heat gets drawn out of the chillis and into the oil - it should be ...

I'm not normally a big opera fan (prefer instrumental only) but one of my favourite arias is a piece from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, "Oh, giusto cielo!...Il dolce suono", aka the Mad Scene. Beautiful to listen to even if you only have an old scratchy recording of Maria Callas singing it.

Don't link marmalade and don't particularly like jam. Honey is acceptable, but only on a nice buttered croissant (don't like toast).

Good point... the only thing stopping the ladies flooding in on the old bored was the retro format and lack of search functionality...

Why Scotland are better than England
... apparently, according to Tom Fordyce anyway:

I don't know whether he's referring to the rugby team or more generally but it seemed inflammatory and, therefore, perfect PR material.
