Pretty sure I played against Semesi Rokoduguni when he played low-level southern counties rugby for Lytchett Minster (the nearest team to the army base where they were posted, who basically had a Fijian backline for half the season!) - that was a long and painful afternoon :uhoh: Probably played aga...

Re: And the new ABs Captain for 2020 is...

Decent player and everything, but it's strange to see an AB captain who wouldn't be a near-automatic pick in a world XV - assume he has some captaincy credentials at SR level that elevate him (like a Blackadder or a Thorne)? Sam Cane would be picked in any team Maybe not at 7, but he's the sort of ...

I thought that contentious Bruce Lee scene set up the finale nicely. In reality, no way is a bar brawling stunt man laying a finger on him, but then this is a fairytale after all... I recall being the only one (on the bored, anyway) to say in about 2012 that Jonathan Joseph was a perfectly good defender at 13 and that selecting him there for the Saffa tour wouldn’t be an issue - everyone else thought you needed to be a big guy to defend at centre (a hangover from the sort of th...

O'Gara at 360 (or even 260), that's got to be an error? Former Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Johnson was able to bench press 220kg when he was in his prime. I find no reason not to believe that Ronan O'Gara was benching about 140kg more. He's got the pecs for it. Nah. A quick google says 315 pounds...

Lee Byrne at fullback. Very good at leading with the knee or boot when jumping for high balls, and very good at injuring other players. Didn't he break Thom Evans' neck with his crotch? Indeed. And knocked out Southwell with a kick to the head. https://www.rugbydump.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/0...

Bit of a position change for McRae, who was a 10 or 15 - he'd have got his arse handed to him in the second row! A lot of one-off incidents in that team, I'd be more tempted to go for serial offenders... 2 - Dylan Hartley (though tbf there will be a lot of competition at hooker) 4 - Danny Grewcock (...

Was Corbs called up late? Healy injured his ankle in one of the tour games and missed the tests. Maybe that's when Court got his callup. From memory, he was injured that 6N and wasn’t going to be fit in time for the start of the tour, but was an injury replacement (for Healy?) and made the tests. H...

Nick de Luca 43 caps I think the entire Scottish backline from 2003 until about 2015 (with the exceptions of Hogg and Patterson) could make this list. Some serious deadwood there.
