Re: Steve Walsh

Steve Walsh is a bent twisted soul who simultaneously rimmed Canterbury and robbed Wellington of the Ranfurly Sheild in 2001. How he has been allowed to officiate at first class level since is one of life's great mysterys.

Re: The stunning decline of NZ crowd numbers

It's March. Who the fark watches rugby in March. I start the rugby season in May. I live within a 15 minute walk from Eden Park and I've only seen 3 super rugby games live ever....(2 of them at the cake tin) all on the corporate donut. I have sky TV. Unless it's a special event like a World Cup or a...

All Blacks v French final. A dominant AB defensive effort will see them sneak it by a couple of points.

Re: Mark Hammett - I changed culture of Canes

I'm expecting a Super Rugby record for the Canes next game. Lowest crowd attendance EVER in the history of the comp. Also expect Hammett to be the first NZ coach binned par way though the season. And along with Hammett, the administrators who picked him as Canes coach should fall on their sword as w...

Not sure NZ coaching can be based off Super rugby results any more. The NZRU dont place a priority on the super rugby game. AB performance is where it's at pure and simple.

* Darth Maul. Being prepared to introduce - and then kill off - such a badass was about the only the risk with the Star Wars prequels I give George Lucas credit for, and slicing him in half made it pretty definitive. Hats off to Clarke. The Aussie public have to love him now. But I feel this innings whilst a gutsy effort lacks something.....ah yes the absence of Steyn. Clarke is Steyns bunny and his injury has cost the Saffas winning the series. Suspect this will be a 1-1 result.

Empire Strikes Back is the best of the series. But I believe it the Return of the Jedi that's makes it so. ROTJ adds substantial meat to the Darth Vader character. In Empire Vader is an enigma, in Jedi his inner conflict adds substantial narrative. This makes the viewing of Empire all the more satis...

Correct decision from McCullum. Enforced the follow on in Dunedin and the Windies got the best of batting conditions to save the test. Today is the last day for the pitch provide consistent bounce. Kohli needs to be a bit careful. He stood his ground in one of the ODIs when he clearly gloved one. Does the same here and he's starting to gain a bit of a bad reputation now. I would have picked Bracewell in this test ahead of Sodhi due to the Indians ability vs spin but I have to admit Sodhi is turning into a very useful cricketer. Handy grafts batsman who is scoring some useful runs for NZ since his debut.

The criticism of the Star Wars Prequels is intriguing. I grew on the original trilogy. I enjoyed many aspects of the prequels but admit other aspects fell a little flat. But overall they linked the two trilogies together and the overall saga was great. Kids today think the prequels and clone wars ar...

Agree that season 4 of BSG struggled but I thought the ending was most appropriate and cerebral. Breaking Bad was a top ending (felt the machine gun rig in the boot was a bit of a stretch though).

Sopranos ending was spoilt by the Journey song at the end. Disgraceful.
