Re: Piers Morgan "beaten-up" by Brett Lee in Melbourne

The underarm deivery was certainly a black mark on G. Chappell's record, impossible to excuse, but it's a shame as it was atypical for him. Was that not also the game that he was caught by Martin Snedden and decided not to go? That would set him apart from few cricketers, but he was generally a wal...

I thought the bowling batting standoff was a good idea and fun ..... Until after the first delivery. I then decidedly uncomfortable with the whole thing and by the end of the over sick in the stomach.

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

Dragons have unusually high intelligence and some also have magic user traits. Smaug is possibly of demigod status so it is possible he cast a spell to nullify the effect of being covered in molten gold (?)

Finally got round to watching We're the Millers.....came highly rated and it was poor. As much as I liked Jennifer Aniston as a stripper and dancing in a thong, the movie was weak.

I thought Catching Fire was a decent flick and how the middle movie of a trilogy should be done....unlike the dreadful Desolation of Smaug which had no beginning or ending.

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

Back from the film today. I loved the LOTR Trilogy. I tolerated the first Hobbit movie. The 2nd Hobbit movie should be renamed to "The Inhalation of Smog". It was D.I.R.E. Bloated, melodramatic and clearly Dragons aren't supposed to be intelligent. I have a whole new respect for Geroge Lucas and his...

Over the past 2 days have seen Hunger Games Part 2, relatively entertaining but predictable.
Enjoyed GRAVITY. Quite a surreal viewing experience and plenty of Sandra Bullock wearing hot mumble pants and 3D bare thigh and crotch shots. Bravo.

Having watched a replay it's evident just how superb the ABs were in that second half. Ireland were hanging on from the 50th minute. The Irish it's half was stunning and ABs were equally so in the 2nd half. Amazing how calm and composed they stayed as the clock wound down. Ireland will have our scal...
