Re: NZ hosting Australia 2024- Cricket series thread

Well done Australia, each time they've needed someone to stand up one of their team has done it. Probably makes the loss harder to take as this is not an Aussie juggernaut team but still too good. Positives for NZ this summer would be O'rourke, sears, Phillips as a spin option which needs exploring....

300+ minimum I reckon and realistically 350+. The positive is that it’s doing a bit with the new ball. Matt Henry is the big hope with the ball. As I type this Blundell has gifted his wicket away. :x Yeah 300 gives us a shot but we have to be very good with the ball, hold all our chances and have a...

His stats are padded by that 15-16 series where Brisbane and in particular Perth were roads. Warner was also scoring massively. Take those out and he would be in his 20s against Australia. Just refreshed my memory of the Kriel incident and was reminded that it wasn't a bunker decision. So that doesn't actually count. Just plain ref error there. Also the hit was on a "Scottish" player, which makes it ok. While this is usually valid, the fact it didn't get picked up is also am issue. I...

I don't see much inconsistency with the bunker, to be honest. But the answer to your general query is litigation. WR first and foremost have a responsibility for making sure the game survives. Entertainment doesn't supercede making sure they've done all they can to avoid players getting dementia. T...

The twenty year old halves didn’t really control the game, and that was probably the difference. Edmed and Gordon played all over them. Coming from the Crusaders nursery you kind of expect them to be all blacks the moment they touch the ball, and in 5 years they may well be. But they certainly were...
