Grim tell us again how Tomas O'Leary is as good as Mike Phillips.  Exactly. Why in the name of jebus am I discussing the merits of SH play with someone who has held this opinion in the recent past. For that 10 to 12 month stretch TOL was excellent. Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

So let me get this straight-Sexton needs to be given game time because he's the future but Murray needs to be dropped because he's a rookie? Sexton isn't a rookie, he is just a better option than ROG on merit. Nobody has been able to get a backline moving outside ROG for a couple of seasons now. Mu...

Reddan is the ultimate headless instinctive scrum-half. To suggest he consciously dictates play is f**king ludicrous (and DOB, his shitness with slow ball is one of the major criticisms Leinster fans throw at him in match threads). The lengths some of you are going to do defend some of the Leinster...

But a chip is something that a 10 does on opportunity, regardless of tactics. Sexton has the talent but I get the impression he is a confidence player. He is very comfortable at HEC level, hence v good, but he needs to be more confident in his own ability at international level. A consistent run sh...

Chris Henry. Just saying. *ducks and covers* He works for us because he is a smart player with an excellent work-rate, and he understands the gameplan. He is basically a sweeper who gives us an extra man around the ball. As much as I rate him for Ulster I think we would get very little out of him a...

On of the things McLaughlin does very well with Ulster is ensuring we get the all into the hands of our top carriers - we regularly hit 3 or 4 successive phases where we are picking out the big carriers, whether they're forwards or backs. I was really struggling to see any discernible pattern in our...

To be fair to Earl its not unreasonable to suggest that D'Arcy is past it and we should try our other centrally-contracted specialist 12. I have a set of Ay-Ups but they don't meet your price criteria. I have found that the helmet-mounted one is very good for getting noticed because it is above headlight-height and you can also focus it on somebody if you think they haven't seen you.

Kearney didn't get rave reviews for the Wolfhounds game at the time, he did well.
