Plus he is of Irish decent.

1798 would have been better than Battle of the Boyne as that was mostly English Civil war/part of wider European geopolitics. Pope supported William sure.

Thanks for the explanations, guys, much appreciated. So I take it this has an incidence on clubs? You have to get a certain number of IQd players in your squad? I have to admit, the name doesn't ring any bell... but I don't follow much Irish rugby, except when it's the H Cup or whatever its name tho...

It's hard for a pack to be at the right pitch for every single game. This is why back-to-back Slams are so difficult. Obviously they were on it in Marseille and have been on it for the most part for the home games. POM had a poor showing but he's been good up to now. I'd back him to do well against...

Hopefully Italy can back it up and win next week. If they can establish themselves as a team who could win two or three games a year would make the championship even better.

Not sure why coaches continue to take such a huge risk by opting for a 6-2 bench split? It cost the Blues the match yesterday, they had a halfback playing on the wing for three quarters of the game. I know the Springboks won the last RWC with a 6-2 split, but I don't actually think it in itself was...
