Beirne really doesn't deserve to lose today. The other 22 of them, not so much.

Saints had the physical edge from the start, and Munster just ran out of ways to get around it. They had plenty of possession, but didn't score a single point after the 28th minute.

Munster started that half trying to break the line with the bosh, but weren't getting much return. They've since moved to use more tip-ons at the line. Amazing when they work, but they don't always stick when you're under pressure.
