Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Anyway, who's going to the Autumn tests? I'm not sure whether I should be looking forward to them or not? Joe had a slow start start with Leinster, I'm worried it might be the same with Ireland. Although I have no problem with enduring some short term pain for long term gain (excuse the shite clich...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Thought Keatley was excellent tonight, hope he gets a good run of HEC games now. He put in some great performances last year but was consistently dropped for a misfiring ROG. Penney's game plan suits him, and having Murray inside him should help massively . We had enough of that carry on in the Sum...

Well based on the last few weeks of the Rugby Championship, we've signed an exact replica. Only Kirchner can actually make a front-up tackle.

I've switched to the Connacht game and it's not much better. At least somewhere some Welsh people are being forced to watch Dragons vs. Zebre.

Thought the finale was absolutely magnificent. A perfect end to the most carefully and lovingly created TV show of all time. So many great moments: Walt clearing the windshield a la Fonzie; that shot of him closing the double doors; Badger and Skinny Pete; Jesse driving away; and Walt's last moments...

Re: The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
Its kind of hard to leave legolas out though given what they have done with the films. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hobbit (maybe because i wasnt expecting as much). It almost banished the memory of the last LOTR film from my mind thank God. You didn't like return of the king? Sure it was long,...

Can't help thinking the branch have f**ked this up, again. There'll certainly be more one-sided games this season than last, which is surely what they should be trying to avoid? Some clubs who seem to have more sway than others have seemingly found themselves where they want to be, regardless of las...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Just been watching last night's AB-Arg game on YouTube, and I reckon our best chance in the autumn is to hassle the shit out of Aaron Smith. He's great on the front foot but he's a disaster when he's under pressure at the ruck. A few times he got swarmed and just flung the ball away. Oh and we need ...

So I'm watching the Castres/Racing match. I'm struggling to see the intensity/different level that we're all told about. Garvey just scored a try that would have been ridiculed had it happened in the Rabo. Anyway, Sexton playing well. Not watching it very closely but he looks to be one of the best,...

If the Aussies have the likes of Pocock, Higginbotham, Ioane, Beale etc. available in the autumn, they should be slightly less abject. They're a f**king rabble at the moment though. The Argies should beat them next weekend.

Christ, Drumcondra is already thronged with stickball fans. I must say I'm impressed by the magnanimous gesture of some Cork fans who have decided to wear Munster jerseys. Obviously just there for the day out and they don't mind which of their provincemen end up winning.

I couldn't help noticing recently that Bruce Craig and Nigel Wray seem to have been sporting a brand new fur coat and a crown respectively. This is a sham, and a farce, and a sham. Connacht are going to tear Sarries a new one, I can feel it. Then Matt Stevens will sing 'This is the End' and they'll ...

Sky and BT are not chums. Sky have a deal in place with the ERC and are standing behind it. I would like to see them release more data on ratings/subscriptions. I agree, if the club what to start playing this shit, bring it on. Did I read that some Rabo team have shown an interest in joining the Eng/Fre wit kant competition? That must be the best episode yet, unbelievable stuff. Will anything come of Jesse telling the Nazis about the tape at Hank's house? Poor old Marie's troubles may not be over yet...
