Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

Just caught some Super Rugby Highlights. Patchell is looking rather handy for the Highlanders. Didn’t see the whole game but the highlight reel included a try, another zipping pass to set up a try, a pass out the back door in a tackle to create a try and a lovely kick through for a try. Obviously i...

Dyer is going well, and Adams seems undroppable despite playing like dogshit.

Can he play 15?
Does it involve catching and then subsequently holding onto a ball if an opponent isn’t within 20m? If so, nah, he can’t

After Cardiff lost 13 first choice players last year due to them, and now have 12 players in the Welsh squad not inc. botham, the WRU have seen it not necessary to release a single player for the game vs leinster this weekend to help Cardiff capitalise on the 4 sellouts in a row they’ve had. Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

Given the player comments regarding coaching and a ‘professional’ environment, maybe the players don’t want to go back and be exposed to shit coaching, shit environments and shit results? If I were to play devil’s advocate. No doubt, the heady heights of 1 win in 8 6N games and a man you've never m...

Re: Jeff's All New And Euthymic Wales Ratings v Ireland

It is odd indeed to be looking at a Welsh side -at any level - where their nine is one of their weak links. It just doesn't compute for someone of my vintage. Fairn summation of the game/tactics, but as has been said, we were shorn of what little pace we do possess in our backline, which played int...

Re: Jeff's All New And Euthymic Wales Ratings v Ireland

Dee deserves more than a 5. Flawless in the lineout, tackle stats were ok (11), carried 11 times for 20 metres - with a lot of those in our best period of the match. He did get turned over after that 20 phase stretch on 60 minutes or so but I'd argue that was as much about his support as the carry....

In an effort to divert thoughts from the impending doom, I just watched Patchell put in a cracking performance on his Super Rugby debut. Yes, it was against one of the traditionally weaker teams, but it was choc full of Patchell highlights, those being ropey defence, and sumptuous passing. :thumbup...

Speak for yourself Henry but I don’t share what you’ve posted. The reasons why I and many would prefer an angl Welsh league are threefold. Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

Apologies my keyboards knackered, the mitigating factors which prevented reds in the 6N have rather unsurprisingly been thrown out the moment an Irish team looked in trouble, still winning, but a pen count of 6-1 doesn’t bode well from the dunlin selected reffing team
