Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Utterly pointless signing. Of course, it’ll be funny if Jordie arrives next year, plays the league games during the 6N, and the away games in Safferland, and then, because all our backs are in such good form, doesn’t make the 23 for the Euro games or playoffs. Similarly for Snyman. And by funny, I ...

Re: Jordie Barrett to Leinster !
€200k for 6months probably car and house on top. Not bad for an average pleb but not huge money for a World Cup finalist really, quite reasonable in fact. Good business by Leinster.

Re: Heineken cup quarter final - Leinster vs La Rochelle
The reason the forward pass was bring discussed was because of an accusation that Dickson favoured us. I don't think he got much wrong to be honest but as I said before, there were a fair few 50/50s that another ref might have gone the other way with. If only we could have transferred a few of them...

I was at a seminar a number of months ago in RCSI where this guy made the case that if every year there isn't a new record big health budget, then we're up shit creek. With the aging population, increased complexity of care, increased comorbidities etc, it's going to cost more to simply maintain th...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Wasn't it that run of KO games in 2003 that really highlighted that Leinster had a support base that could be accessed? Obviously there was a long way to go in terms of actually being good enough, but it showed that people would buy tickets. Went out against Biarritz in the semi in LR with Bommer m...

Didn't Leinster walk through Toulouse last year? It's done. Luckily the comp is dying on its feet so no one will care. It was dying. It’s back with a bang this year thanks to the English resurgence. Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Having been a ST holder since the old Donnybrook days, two things in particular drove Leinster. One was 2006 and the win away in Toulouse followed by the disgraceful scenes in and around LR for the SF. I think the team as well as the fans remembered that. The second was the move to the RDS in 2007....

Oh fùck me, the media love in started in 2000, when Rog kicked that conversion in the famously bright sunlight of Thomond Park at 5 o clock on a January Saturday. The point was that Munster got the 2.30 slot prior to the floodlights being installed and kept it. It was the main/only rugby slot on RT...
