Re: The Irish deserve some credit

Just say you don’t understand knock out sport That’s all you need to do   You know what’s really a lottery, the 6 nations, you guys basically share it around like a participation trophy (Just not with the French). So I understand why you feel that way. If anyone doesn’t understand kno...

I think you've missed the sequencing here. This thread was not started by an Irishman. But instead of Kiwis going 'fair comment', we're getting trolled. That's where the admit it comes from. Instead of acting so defensively precious, maybe either don't get involved in the pile on or just comment th...

Geez CM11 give it a rest, you're a good poster. Yeah it was one sided, most expected it to be. '4 more years' type stuff perhaps. Which to a reactor like Sexton would be fuel to the fire no doubt, as raw as it was. Well, not a fan of it and he's been guilty of that type of thing more than most but that's that, no biggie. I was just curious, as the camera angle didn't give a clue - was it to ...

But I guess the point is, where were the AB fans and why was there no demand for tickets? I was there for 2011 RWC. Their fans bring cushions to sit on, on the terraces or grass banks....i shit you not Your point being? They're the best fans, best craic, best team if the RWC were a 20 game league.

This just isn't true. As I keep on saying, we spent the week last week trying to convince NZ fans that the game was a 50/50 game while you lot wallowed in your bullshit self flagellation. I will have to watch the game again, but when watching the game in real time, I didn't see Argentina being refereed differently from the ABs in the game. They weren't, Gus was superb. Scrum PKs were clear as day, Pumas maul transgressions were as well. Gus didn't let either team buy penalties, made...

Given how the draw had the 5 top teams on the same side of the draw, and the top 4 sides meeting in the QF, while an uninspiring England got to limp home against Fiji while Argentina had to get over Wales, I'd have to side with the journos on this one. The Irish journos complaining about the walkov...

I’ll take that. Felt a bit for the Argies, they’ve been better than that over the years, not in a great moment and they weren’t really in it. Some really good patient build ups, good mix of structure in defense and some big hits to drive them back. Was actually quite impressed by the ginger tonight,...

Most of the French team will be around in 4 years. Few other teams have that opportunity. Plus their u20s show that more talent is coming through. The Top14 is possibly the strongest in the world and growing stronger. Good time for French rugby. Absolutely, but with great power comes great pressure...

You fail to explain your claim of high degree of danger. No real force in the tackle and didn't hit the knee. Also the referee team did not think it worthy of a yellow. What makes your judgement better than theirs? He did not even attempt to tackle and put himself into position that could have caus...

A great tackle around the ankles is one of best things you can see.

No arms needs to be treated like a high tackle, start at a red and mitigate down. There’s way less excuse for it than a high tackle and they need to start coming down hard on it.

Is this correct? So when a tackler holds up the ball carrier, a maul is only formed if a team mate of the ball carrier joins the tackle? That is correct, funnily enough all maul laws then apply such as entry and collapsing but are rarely applied when a maul forms in open play I agree.. laws seem to...

Collapsing mauls is dangerous. Anyway, i'd rather keep the mauling laws as they have always been. If the maul runs away, then it isn't being defended properly because the defence is spread across the field. Well that's the thing, the maul as it is now has only existed since lifting in the lineout. ...

Your argument was that it wasn't dangerous. My argument is that IS dangerous, it's a flying wedge with the ball at the back, so even worse. This wouldn't happen if you could collapse mauls. Collapsing mauls is dangerous. Anyway, i'd rather keep the mauling laws as they have always been. If the maul...

You seemed to be saying that part of the maul could break away as the same maul. Maybe i misunderstood.
