Well that was a bit disappointing. He shouldn't have pinned himself on the inside lane so early on. He needed to get on the outside by the 3rd lap. Blistering field though. They bloody started sprinting from 300m out on the final lap.

I think the backyard rules we all agreed on last week was that the first to three gold medals wins the olympics. It matters not if the canary yellows go onto five or six golds now. The flag on top of Mt Kosciusko is now safely stored in Mahe Drysdale's drinks cabinet.
