Re: All Blacks 2024

No Caleb Clarke? And I would have Love over Stephenson. No Clarke. Telea and Reece are the form wingers in NZ, and Jordan, Reiko, Stevenson, and Jordie in a pinch can all cover. Surplus to requirements. I would argue that Clarke is one of the form NZ wingers. His break out near time won the game fo...

Re: All Blacks 2024

I don't think Brett Cameron will be picked. He's just not the style of 10 Razor is accustomed to. I think he'll pick Damian McKenzie as the main guy and have Beauden Barrett as a back up. He will then I think opt for guys with utility value for further back up. Stephen Perofeta and David Havili. I ...

Have also been hearing some local rumours that the Crusaders have been talking to Zarn Sullivan about a move south filling Burke's spot. He's off contract with the Blues this year. Re: All Blacks 2024

Super Rugby kicks off this week. Time for some bold predictions regarding what Razor's first AB squad will look like. Will be interesting to revisit this in June when new faces have announced themselves and made this look silly. My best guess, assuming a 33 man squad. Bold = almost certain selectio...

Re: All Blacks 2024

I'm a big fan of young Cortez Ratima. The simplest way I can put it is I think he just passes the eye test. I don't know that I can fully articulate why, but I think his game would translate to test level very well compared to some of our other young 9s. I think he has good reasonably rugby IQ and g...

Crusaders $1.28 - Reds $3.75 (Bet365)
6th vs 10th on the table and the Reds should have beaten the Blues last week. Very generous odds once again.

Re: SRP R10 Crusaders v Rebels

That's much more like it! If we're being really honest, a good Crusaders team wins this game by 70+, but let's not split hairs. I imagine it wasn't especially pretty to watch for neutrals, but I'll take it. I absolutely loved the scrum demolition job. Lots of positives all round. - Obviously a far m...

Crowd is pretty quiet and the DJ interjecting music into most plays to try and entertain. Scrum resets and ball out of play for so long. 10-0 definitely won’t be enough to win this. I could hear that over the TV. The stupid wit kant should be tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail. +1 :thu...

My only hope is we've played much better at home in our two outings this season.

Nearly beat the unbeatable Canes, and beat the Chiefs.

I still don't think it'll be enough.

Rebels look strong when they can bring international stars like Proctor and Maunder off the bench, along with experienced Wallabies like Tupou, Uelese, and Leota.

Re: SRP R10 Crusaders v Rebels

I don't mind the changes, this is probably one of the stronger sides we've fielded this year. Newell, McAlister, Bower is our best fit front row - Franks and Moody are done and Bell's throwing has been poor. Hopefully McAlister is better for the run last week. Lovely having Barrett back in the secon...

Re: SRP R10 Crusaders v Rebels

I’ve got to admit it’s still quite enjoyable supporting a struggling team . Frustrating as it is to see them bomb game after game , it’s a different kind of high that is experienced with the odd win . Only winning the entire competition beats it for intensity . I actually agree with this. Breaking ...

Re: SRP R10 Crusaders v Rebels

It's 4th vs 12th on the table. The Rebels are objectively very strong favourites.

Those TAB odds are free money, just like last week.

Hopefully we can keep the scoreline a bit more respectable this time. We've not been as bad at home this year.

The penalty count was 15-11. Nothing especially outrageous or lopsided. There were certainly some calls I disagreed with, but reffing isn't the reason we lost to the Force by 22. The issues clearly run far deeper. Anyway, we finally get a run of 4 home games in 6 weeks now after only 2 all season so...

We've got ourselves a good, old-fashioned cripple fight.

11th vs 12th on the ladder. 1 win apiece.

Will we contrive a remarkable new way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Suffer another 21 injuries?

Entertaining game from the cellar dwellers. Some pretty average skills at times but. Wasn't too smart from Mcnichol knocking the ball down twice.
