Re: RWCR1 Scotland vs Springboks Match thread

Well this should be a good one. Everyone even some Scots fans have written Scotland off. I have a feeling the Bravehearts will cause the first upset of the tournament! Better get down to the bookies then because they're paying 4.9/1  Edit: England caused the first upset last night. I did b...

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

Fiji have the players to win but this is the first time we've gone into a WC match against a tier one team ranked above them and either equal or slightly more favourites. Going in as an underdog is different than going in this time. The expectations comes with alot of pressure. As we've seen with Ar...

Chile have shown that the gaps in level of rugby below the tier one and top tier two teams are not as wide as they used to be.

Re: Japan vs Chile

Berry said he targeted the knee of the player who was in a vulnerable position is there some WR guidance on this ? Looked like he tripped before the tackle and ended up hitting the knee or at least that's what he'll say in his disciplinary hearing! 😊 Yellow = no disciplinary hearing Guess TMO agree...

Re: Japan vs Chile

I haven't really seen Chile play at all so don't know if Japan are going to run away with it here or not. Numbers 11, 15 and 6 are Fijian so looking forward to how they play and of course Japan overall. They looked poor in the Pacific Nations. Hopefully they pick up form and get back to something re...

Re: Pool D opener: Los Pumas - England, 09 Sep 1900 GMT

Wow England that performance is absolutely incredible. Defence is the best by any team in the World Cup to date. Ford's drop goals applied pressure to Argentina and together with the defence it was flawless. Congratulations for the win. Hopefully that restores your confidence and catapults you into ...

Re: Pool D opener: Los Pumas - England, 09 Sep 1900 GMT

That was a good conservative half from England. Argentina looks tired and playing without any shape. England keep up the solid defence in the second half and they're in with a chance. Ford's drop goals has clearly rattled the Pumas.

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

Tuisova is coming back from injury so probably better to ease him back in sometimes in the second half. Botia I'm not sure what the coach is thinking apart from maybe he wants to start the back row combo that beat England and have Botia come in as an impact.

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

The Welsh will target Fiji's set pieces especially the lineouts. Hopefully the boys have done their due diligence. Don't need to have special or fancy moves. Just simple short or long like in the England game. As long as they win their own throws. Stay steady in the scrums and defend that maul. When...

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

Tela needs to show the form that we all know he possesses. He needs to boss the boys around and control them. Kick for territory and play in Wales half. He needs to show form too when kicking for goals. We're lucky to have Frank there as a backup kicker for goals That's very true bro. Forgot about ...

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

Fiji on the other hand is contemplating playing a scrum half at flyhalf a position he has never played before in professional club rugby let alone international. Our genius of a coach thinks putting him there in a WC game against a tier one team for the first time will actually a solution. This is o...

Re: WALES Vs FIJI 2023 RWC Match Thread - Group C

If Fiji doesn't make it through Simon should be sacked. Not selecting our specialist fly half because of personal beef. Heard he pushed Cotter out and the training schedule of reconnecting with the roots and fitness training and game plans were all Cotter. All the Assistants and Naca trainer are the...
