Re: Springboks vs England . RWC Semi Final thread
I would not be surprised if there is 4 or 5 changes in the lineup for the boks in this game based on the amount of energy and emotion spent on the France game. Esterhuizen and Am/Moody to start as center pairing, Pollard and Le Roux to start this time around with Libbok and Willemse on the bench and...

Re: QF 4 - France vs South Africa - Sunday 15 October 23
Rassie was asked about calling for the scrum on the mark by Willemse. He said it was a preplanned strategy to do it. he said that because France try to avoid scrumming and kick deep a lot, wanting teams to return the kick and possession so they decided to pull France into the scrums and discourage t...

Re: QF 4 - France vs South Africa - Sunday 15 October 23
On the French side, I thought Mauvaka, Ollivon and Danty were excellent. I was disappointed by Aldegheri, Wardi, Woki, Jelonch, Dupont (but his injury had a visible impact on his mind- though that doesn't excuse how slow he was at the base of the ruck), Jalibert, LBB, Penaud and Ramos. They were no...

Re: QF 4 - France vs South Africa - Sunday 15 October 23
Exactly, the kicker does not need to move forward, he just needs to lift a foot from the ground and the chaser have the right to charge. Ramos was just to slow or he made a mistake by lifting his foot, he did not even question the ref afterwards from what I remember, I think he knew he messed up.

Re: QF 4 - France vs South Africa - Sunday 15 October 23
For me the 2 moments of the game for the boks were the Etzebeth knock back that prevented an almost certain try and shortly after the boks got a try and the Kolbi charge down. I also have to make a mention about Kriel, he has been fantastic tonight, specially on defense, I was worried before the wc ...

Re: QF 4 - France vs South Africa - Sunday 15 October 23
Ref seemed pretty random at breakdown for both teams. Didnt notice France were particularly victims of it tho France had the saffas in trouble when the ball was in play and fast tempo. 2nd half was all scrum stoppages. That has always favoured the Boks who never waste an opportunity to slow a game ...

Going by the closeness of the other QF games, if Libbok miss half his kicks we will lose. France dont miss a lot of kicks at post. So a bit nervous about this game. More nervous than i was for the 2019 final. Watching at Monte Casino on the big screen. A nice big crowd assembling here. Even with th...

This is a 50/50 game for me. I like France, but if I was forced to bet all my money on one team for this game, it's the Springboks. So France for the win then based on your recent betting prowess? Fantasy bets don't count. I only put the hoodoo on teams that I actually bet money on. I'll be betting...

They can fire as many team managers they want but as long as the top management of the club remains as is, this will continue indefinitely. The glaziers and the board are toxic for this club I think and it is filtering through to the team environment. They are a bit unlucky with injuries so far, the...

Re: Cricket WC 50overs version - India
Fantastic innings by SA, biggest score in a CWC. Now if the bowlers can do their job it will be the perfect start to the cwc. But I am worried about our bowlers, they have become our weakness in recent years where they have always been our strength. Supposedly this is a stadium with a par score of a...

Boks came through in the end, but to many points left on the field with the kicking, I hope it does not come back to bite us later int he tournament. Maybe FAF or Kolbi should practice kicking more and do the kicking and take the place kicking away from Libbok. Esterhuizen must starts against Irelan...

New Zealand butchered a couple of try scoring opportunities. Might come back to bite them in the ass if the French can find some energy somewhere. So much kicking though from both sides.

Where are the SA panel playing victimhood? They are actually saying that SA was lucky with the penalty try for example. Seems like they are moaning on Wales behalfquarter2four wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 4:15 pm Watching the SA feed and the panel are moaning about the ref. Full on victimhood.

Re: 2023 Autumn Nations Series R4 Wales vs Springboks
I think Kolbi and FAF both have a better kicking percentage than Libbok. If they want to start Libbok maybe Kolbi or Faf should take the kicking duties depending who plays. As others have said before, with this kind of kicking Libbok is going to cost us in a close game against a good side. I would b...

I'm not entirely sold on Willemse starting at 10. Is Pollard injured or out of favour? Libbok didn't do a lot wrong against Aus, harsh not to give him another go. Yes Pollard is injured still, soonest we might see him will be the game against NZ in London I think. Libbok played well against the Wal...

There’s absolutely no way I’m believing it. When I walk through towns here, I’d say nearly half the people over a certain age are overweight. Went to Norway and didn’t see a single overweight local. Maybe I just got lucky. Maybe they did not take active lives in consideration. They show Denmark qui...

Need a 80% kicker at WC Like Curwin Bosch? If Libbok or Willemse want to usurp Pollard they have to kick as well as he has been otherwise its going to be him, imo Yeah Libbok definitely needs to work on his kicking, both to poles and out of hand. Our best tactical kicking on Saturday was done by Wi...

Our backline is exciting indeed. I am looking forward to see how cobus and manie will go. Might be great, might be terrible. As I mentioned elsewhere, Libbok gives me Jantjies vibes, if our pack dominates he might just have a field day but any pressure and he is very likely to give an error ridden ...

Bulls going very well so far. The wet field not affecting the handling. Just lots of slipping. Even the cheerleaders before the game was slipping around in their dance routines
