Re: Jimmy Anderson: "100% best fast bowler ever"
30 bowlers have taken 300 or more test wickets That is the cut off point. That leaves an active spinner like Ashwin off the list (he’s in the 290’s) Indians on this board will be livid. CPI index awards points for milestones. The stats below are well documented career stats 1 point for a 4 for 5 poi...

Re: Jimmy Anderson: "100% best fast bowler ever"
Whilst the ICC rankings are interesting they do only refectory the highest ppoint someone got in their career not the quality of the career overall. Case in point is Hadllee whose career got better and better , much like Anderson. A fairer system would be to loom at the CPI ratings for the bowlers. ...

Re: All Blacks vs Argentina: MATCH THREAD: New Plymouth: Sep
Read was excellent tonight. Ran strongly from the scrum. His only blemish was a stupid grubbed from the base of a scrum. Tackles his arse off, decisive with his decision making, ran strongly and chipped the ref for 80 minutes. Critical to our line out (which missed Whitelock tonight) A big game from...

Re: Jimmy Anderson: "100% best fast bowler ever"
Jimmy Anderson can certainly be rated as one of England's finest test bowlers. And a master of the Duke ball. However away from home and English conditions he has 149 wickets at 35.36. That's hardly world class. Hadlee, for example took 230 wickets away from home at 21.72 Lillee averaged 24.28 away ...

Re: All Blacks vs Argentina: MATCH THREAD: New Plymouth: Sep
Enjoyed that test match. Both teams came to play and it ebbed and flowed nicely. However the ABs turned on the afterburners when Barrett went to the bin and the Argies struggled to stay in it. A good test for. Number of young ABs under pressure so a good experience for them. Should be an interesting...

Re: when introducing someone to the Star Wars universe...
It's always tricky knowing when it's a suitable age for your children to watch movies like this. When picking my 4 year old daughter Up from a birthday party I was grilled by other parents. Apparently my daughter had spent sometime at the party describing the Anakin/Vader immolation scene to other k...

Machete order.
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
So cut of Phantom Menace as it's largely irrelevant and the Machete order preserves all the twist and makes one even better.

Re: Pinetree RIP
Can't recall if it was an after dinner speech or a TV interview from Pinetree. But when asked to sum up his era(s) vs the game today Sir Colin replied "at the back of the bus on the way to a test match I used to read Commando comics. Today the players are reading investment brochures on the bus"

Great fightback from the Aussies in the last 30 but they were beaten up badly by the ABs in the first 50. Physicality still a huge concern for Aussie rugby

Are the ABs that good, the Wallabies that poor or is it just a better game when the French aren't reffing?

I'm probably going to regret this but, how did EVH revolutionize the electric guitar? In many ways.
