I’ve been talking Argentina up for years and every time I do they play like a bag of wit kant. I’m hoping they really turn it on in the morning though.
All Blacks 31 - 28 Argentina.
Good luck Argies.

Re: NZ v Ireland RWC Quarter Final Thread..
You don’t think those two Ireland tries came about because they were good enough to score them? It had to be a lapse of AB concentration? I’m not sure I’d call them soft tries. The Aki one you could convince me of as it genuinely was a defensive cockup. That’s still just one small instance, a fragme...

Re: Israel declares state of war
Turkey's people seem to be (in part at least) anti-Israeli, but Edrogan wants his F16s, and he's a bit like that little fat f u ck Kim - he wants to be globally important. Turkey also has military industry links with Israel. Right now he wants leverage, and if he goes full tilt anti Israel the US &...

Re: NZ v Ireland RWC Quarter Final Thread..
I’m struggling to think of a better All Black performance in 35 or so years watching. That was quite possibly the most focused and as close to perfect as you can get in international rugby, for an All Black side anyway. There have been lots of big wins of course, but games of that intensity where it...

It is a shame you can’t squeeze more in. Leinster, Dmac, Papali’i, Clarke, Havili - would have liked to have seen more of them. Not really at the expense of anyone else though.

Honestly, the 4 best teams at this tournament r SA, NZ, Ireland & France. Let's see if England & Argentina can prove this proposition wrong. There's a chance they might: the ABs have lacked consistency, & the Argies have been a top-tier but underrated side for quite a while. England might have the ...

No handling errors of any consequence anyway. Pretty good effort going 80min without knocking on, just a couple stray passes bouncing off the grass.

I thought Rieko was of the opinion he had to keep sliding outside to cover, and the inside would take Aki. In hindsight he should’ve just grabbed the bloke and held on because cover was coming, the Irish bloke on the wing was a mile away anyway. Even if Rieko just stood and got steamrolled he’d have...

What are the chances Rieko just repeated something Sexton said in the course of the game back to him? Not that I would know any better but Reiko doesn’t come across as the witty sort, and I imagine whatever he did say was short, sweet, and to the point. I’d thought Ireland had amassed quite the lead as far as those ranking points go. They should have after winning 17 on the trot. Just looked. Ireland on 93 and NZ on 87. Even with the win I’d have thought Ireland would still maintain #1. They’re 3 and a bit points better than France at #2. Not that ...

Huh? When? All Blacks have won every Rugby championship under Foster. Sa play more bad games than All Blacks do. So why do the Springboks hold the number 2 ranking and the All Blacks a lowly 4th. I would hazard a guess at South Africa being more consistent, and better than the All Blacks over the c...

I'm baffled how anyone could watch the game today and call for Fainga'anuku to be dropped. Same again please. Yeah, I’m still of the opinion the best back 3 we can field is Leicester, Talea, Jordan. Unproven but it’s a sharp attacking combo when reading it. Possibly Leicester, Jordan, DMac would be...

12 of the 15 starters today got smoked by the Argies in Christchurch last year. We might have given them a couple hidings after that but it’s not the forgone conclusion it once was. Argies will be fizzing for this one imo, they have nothing to lose.

It could be argued the series win in New Zealand was more monumental than a WC win.
It had only happened three times over 120+ years or so before they cracked it.

I think the difference being the Springbok do have three+ top shelf in a row performances in them. It’s tricky, must be some battered bodies there needing cotton wooling. Be almost inclined to say swap starters for todays bench players and bring in Talea and the replacements for who has niggles. Best All Black performance for a long long time. Even when we were well coached it’s up there. Never gave Ireland a sniff for the first 20min. That Dickmo- Jordan try was a thing of beauty.
Clean line out take.
Smith punches a pass Righto into Dickmos basket
A little inside pass feint and Dickmo slides straight through the middle untouched with no room to spare.
Simple draw and pass and Jordan is in.

I think Barnes has always been a bit liberal with his ruck interpretation. He’s definitely sharpened up as I recall games earlier in his career resembling something like an explosion in a spaghetti factory with arms and side entries everywhere.
