Re: Ranking the Beatles albums
1 Sgt Peppers: revolutionary in many ways 2 Abbey Road: amazing effort after the falling out during let it be 3 The White Album: creative 4 Let it Be: a bit scrappy but still some good stuff 5 Rubber Soul ... Agree The Beatles wrote their fair share of crap, and this is coming from a big fan. What a...

Re: WTF ?! ... please some anglos explain this
such speak is just broadly indicative of how the french tend to make comparisons with the "anglo-saxons" in contrast to themselves, as the mentality of the two are decidely different in some ways. you can't tell me the brits don't paint broad strokes when talking of the "europeans".

I'm sure a lot of people would pay very good money to see a Kangaroos v ABs game. There'd just be hell to pay if anyone got hurt.

Re: RUGBY LEAGUE - England v New Zealand
Who even plays rugby league in New Zealand other than a bunch of thugs and deadbeats that dont have the discipline or talent for real rugger. Not one of that Kiwi side would get a Super Rugby contract. Give the All Blacks a week to prepare and learn the rules of r.league and they would obliterate t...

Solid game from England. NZ not showing much in attack.
Elsewhere, France qualifies for RLWC2021 over the weekend, whilst Wales are one game from following them having surprisingly missed out in 2017

FWIW a petition to sign re: China's lifting of tiger and rhino products ban: https://www.sauvonslaforet.org/petitions/1155/la-chine-ne-peut-pas-faire-ca Yes, an online petition. Re: Killing things and taking humanity with it.
We make much more efficient use of resources, and in most cases it doesn't matter much anyway because the scale of human biomass and resource use compared to the Earth overall is tiny. What exactly is the crux of this argument? Is it like stating that the emission of such relatively small amounts o...

But here's the thing, if they had this science, and it was credible, you could go to even the thickest of administrations of a given country and tell them, with FACTS! that if you chop down X amount of trees, you'll cause droughts here, and here, and here...or, in reverse, get the countries of here...

Re: Killing things and taking humanity with it.
The loss of South American rainforests has reduced rainfall thousands of miles away, I'd love to know the science behind that. They struggle to get the weather accurate within 1 day of an event, but they can tell that the loss of rainforest in one part of the planet is causing less rain in another?...

I’ve been some sort of conservationist as philosophy since school years. I figure we were exposed to enough material of that genre for years that I simply took it on as making more sense than endless resource depletion, not to mention the contaminating aspect of waste and pollution. I’ve pretty muc...

22 Tonnes, 50% from flights- which aren't included in any global average. So if I stop going on holiday I'll be close to the global average. So if we just cancelled events like the Olympics and the Soccer World Cup, how much carbon would be saved? If aviation were a country, it would be about 12th ...

For those that have done the calculation, these are two key figures: 1. 2009's average global footprint = 4.4T 2. 2050's needed global average footprint to avoid dangerous climate change = 1.5T I can highly recommend this short film (4m21s): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWfb0VMCQHE Food for thoug...
