Re: Suicide
I've seen this happen. Can be baffling. I do wonder whether this may sometimes occur because an unresolvable internal mental conflict builds and builds until it becomes overbearing. People may present a facade of an ideal life, very much conformist with popular consensus of what a happy life should ...

This thread deserves more attention. The protests occurring in China are unprecedented since Tiananmen and much more widespread. Even markets are starting to react a little.

Re: The Rugby League World Cup
Seemed to be a bad omen for Samoa when the early 40-20 kick was batted back in by an ozzie with a foot clearly on the line and the flag didn't go up. Tough going from then on in. It's most evident in the defence that Australia just go to another level when forced to. It looks like you have to pull o...

Discuss If I were a NZ and even more so a French fan (because of the familiarity factor), I certainly wouldn't relish to face the likes of Capuozzo or M.Ioane anyway And they really seem to be very well coached (I really like Crowley) They beat Australia mate not a functioning rugby team This. Re: The Rugby League World Cup
they held australia to a single try in 2017 in the final, they are hardly a distant 3rd. we'll see how they go against samoa, but I think after samoa's efforts last week it should be a 13+ margin and nice workout before a cracking final.

Re: The Rugby League World Cup
england have looked very sharp tbh. they absolutely deserve a spot in the final.
if england get past samoa without too much brusing, it could well be a similar case to 2013 where a battered australia from the semi final are physically exhausted in the final.

Re: The Rugby League World Cup
I'm not 100% sure that wouldn't be a try in rugby to be honest. For whatever that bit of trivia is worth. I know 100% that in rugby, you can reach in from out-of-bounds and ground a ball for a try. Which is super weird. What I'm not 100% about is whether you actually have to be in-goal-out-of-bound...

which is pretty much what they have during SOO now, but they should probably look at hosting games in Auckland instead of western sydney. The sad fact of hosting games in the islands themselves or Port Moresby is the money is not really there to justify it unfortunately.

Another cracking game and bad luck to Fiji. They seem to be getting better and better though. All the island teams (perhaps barring the Cooks) have come on in leaps and bounds in the last 10 years. Not long until they are regularly challenging the big boys.

Re: The Rugby League World Cup
An argument can be made that SOO is the pinnacle in the eyes of Australians but other nations would argue that beating a combined NSW+Qld selection is by definition a higher peak to summit. England v NZ in 2013 was equal or better than any SSO I have ever seen.

Re: The Rugby League World Cup
England v France was a good game until a blatant forward pass after 16,000 sheperds.
France v Samoa should be good. France should win, even though they lost to Samoa in the 2013 world cup. France are slowly but surely getting better with increased Super League exposure. A way to go yet though.
