Re: Solomona commits to England
Lets be honest - all this posturing about spearheading the change to 5 years residency will look very foolish if they rush to cap another kiwi before the cut off period. Particularly after the RFU has said they would consider imposing its own five-year residency rule on England if World Rugby fails ...

Disagree that it's a restraint of trade (Leary, Industrial Law Journal 2012). However I agree that they might want to avoid testing it. I think they should go ahead and cut the date off regardless. It's getting pretty bad, will anyone be brave enough to put a stop to England? x( The RFU did. They are publicly out in favour of 5 years residency. He's declared (publicly) for Sale's purposes more than England's. He's good enough to play though. So he really needs capping at the Twickenham 7s or ...

I've played every position in 25 odd years of rugby 8) :smug: But realistically half of those games were at openside, when I was having a half crack at making it. Re: Wallabies so far
Whether Hodge or Beale has 12 on their back will be immaterial, but Beale has repeatedly said he wants to make the 12 spot his own.
So give him the 12 Jersey, and have Hodge defend there from set pieces. Use Hodge as the Blind winger who runs lines with the 13 all day.
