Re: All Blacks vs Wallabies Tokyo 27 October

Crappish maul. But we’ll take it.

ABs sliding OK in D. Stronger start by Squire than in recent tests which is pleasing. Also BB taking the ball into contact more than he has recently.

10-3 ABs.

Bradbury is a ranter. I tried to read the Daily Blog for a while but it has zero substantial content. That article is just a screed. As to the partisanship, yes it's a problem, and frankly quite bizarre in New Zealand which is actually a low variance political country. Take grouch's post a few back...

I suspect chloe has enviable time management skills. She has certainly packed in a lot in a small space of time. Her simple but elegant dress sense suggests she has that rare ability of being naturally organised. I think she joined the wrong party but it got her straight into parliament. I could se...

Re: NZ Politics Thread

If we did away with the 5% threshold, or dropped it significantly, do you think we would see an increase in support for the minor parties as more voters might give them more of a look if they felt their vote was more likely to be counted? I’m open to this. However, I’d like to see more critical ana...

Taylor’s lineout throwing a real issue now. As in more so than before. All four hookers struggled to find their targets tonight. Not sure why. Taylor's throwing has generally been pretty good throughout his career, I think the issue tonight was about the lineout unit as a whole. In the first two li...

Re: RC: Pumas vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sept 29 (22:40 UT

Not the most bizarre ending to a test...but that spectator getting on looking for a piece of the action almost made it right up there. Good on both sides not letting the officiating get to them. I think both sides got stung a few times by some simply incompetent reffing. Too messy, too many mistakes...

At least that chewed a couple of minutes off SBW’s 10 minutes.

ABs to run away with it in the 2nd half with the bench at about the 60m mark.

Mind you, looking at that stat (3 minutes defending in their red zone to 20 seconds attacking), they need to retain possession and stop putting themselves under that YC pressure.

Sounds like it's a bit of he said she said with no one seeing the altercation take place ... which may be why they're hesitant to throw Whaitiri to the wolves. The bruising on the arm begs to differ. Re: RC: All Blacks vs Springboks: MATCH THREAD: Sept 15

I was hoping that they didn’t take the drop goal. Seriously....if we’d won on a droppie, I would have felt dirty. The Boks wouldn’t have deserved to lose like that, and the ABs certainly didn’t deserve to win like that. As much as I’m pleased (big picture) at the result, I really wanted to see a gr...
