Very impressive innings. That dropped catch when he was on about 18 was positively Pakistan-esque though.
Most costly drop in CWC history? That would have seen them into pole position for the last spot in the semis.

Demi, as in the sheila who got her norks out in the terrible movie Striptease and the second part is debatable, but most common English concensus seems to be 'litch'. But if you're not using 'the voice' to say it you're not doing it right, and if you are using the voice it renders the pronunciation...

Spot on… however one pronounces your name. It’s a kinda patois celebration of cunnilingus in my head - “dem I lick!” Pretty sure that’s wrong, though. I get to decide my interlocutor’s pronouns, but it’s v poor form to mispronounce names (had a saffa business partner who kept calling a compatriot Q...

Win or lose, whinging about the ref is now one of the most dominant traits of rugby 'culture.' And it makes us look like cvnts, every time.

Foster made zero tactical changes early in the piece too. We're could have used some Dmac magic, BB and Jordan were offering nothing. He should of had Roigard and Leicester in the reserves to add some punch and Samisone was brought in too late to make any difference, when Sam Whitlock came on he lo...

Re: Is this the end of Rugby?
It's become apparent that the rules and officiating have taken the game down the slippery slope of being damn near unwatchable. Surely this spells the end of the greatness of this game. Whereas you can have a team that plays only one back reserve winning a RWC final, because officiating can reduce ...

You should be thanking him. What he’s done with an average All Blacks squad should be commended. Him getting your boys to the final is arguably a better achievement that you winning it in ‘11. In 2007 some guys I went to school with called me in as a ringer to play in their social league game (due to the opposition having a ringer in their previous game). Was later in the morning after the frustrating QF loss - I may have used it as a bit of an outlet and was only ever allowed to be the r...

Actually think rain might be good for the ABs - less ball control cuts down a bit on mass phases of play when playing for penalties. Poor footing can also be a bit of a leveller in marginal scrums.

Don't tend to be many tries in RWC finals:
87 - 4
91 - 1
95 - 0
99 - 2
03 - 2
07 - 0
11 - 2
15 - 5
19 - 2
And an average 0.66 tries per RWC final when South Africa are involved. So wouldn't hold my breath on hopes for a free flowing game.

Should be based solely on how profitable it is, factoring in costs of keeping the two teams there an extra week. If it is consistently a decent profit spinner, then it's worth keeping.
Maybe add an 'Ireland vs second most atmospheric QF loser' game for mid semi final week.

Meh, it's a racial slur and they should be stamped out of top level sport, regardless of which direction they go in. Not normalised or ignored. At the pro level, you can't lump an opposition player for their shit-housery anymore, or get away with evening it up yourself in a tackle, ruck or maul, so ...

The Christie hate is ridiculous and over the top. Sure I'd prefer Roigard there but Christie has proven to be a reliable player to come on and ensure the AB's win games. He's played 19 games in the Foster era for 16 wins. That's likely the highest win rate of any player in the Foster era. He's won ...

Roigard and McKenzie should have big roles if they make the final - the French showed how to play the boks in that first 20 - hard, but exceptionally fast and frenetic (and hope you execute well enough that the boks get limited chances to counter attack). They weren't able to maintain it, but the l...

If the rumours are true about Christie and McKenzie not coming on if the game is in the balance near the end why not have a 5/2 bench split and keep our forwards fresh? It's hardly been a 'massive turnaround'. We've won one of our last three games against competitive opponents. Reminds me of the 2005 NRL semi-finals. To get a jump on the competition, a company printed out grand final winners t-shirts for the unbackable favourites the Eels and Dragons, with the intention of trashing the set for the team that lost the final. Then the Tigers and Cowboys pulled off massive ups...

Yeah, in the respective finales, Ireland needed a try, France only needed a drop goal. If Ireland could have won with a 3-pointer, I’m 90% sure they would have at least got into a good position for Sexton to have a crack. Their ability to counter attack with sheer pace concerns me as an AB fan. We quite often produce sloppy play and poor defensive reads out wide at the moment, which they are well set up to exploit (especially Kolbe).
