Re: The Official Itlay v Scotland Match Thread
Italy have done well to stay in it. Scots have been very good in patches. Fun game. Looking forward to the next 40  Scotland are shite. Italy at home should 100% expect to win this. That’s a bit rich - Scotland showed many times excellence during those first 40 mins Thread Irished.

Really like the speed that Horne is putting on the game. Comes with a health warning though and we’re trying to play a little too much.

I have said before on here recently i feel like i'm a bit 'at the end of the road' with england rugby- borth is safe to the next rwc. There's no sane argument for Daly over Radwan for example unless you flat out don't like rugby. I like watching ireland or scotland play, but i'm just not getting en...

Revealed: England’s attack ignored in training with a back touching ball just once in session Headline in graph. Haven’t read it, but I can believe it. Youngs, who also played under Borthwick at Leicester, added that attack is not “high on his [Borthwick’s] agenda” and that the performance against ...

Re: A Bit Salty
Point of order re. Sam Overthehill, if you’re born overseas to a serving member of our country’s armed forces, you’re almost certainly de facto born in the UK. ‘British Forces Overseas’ is the correct term, I think. His old man Greg (my old man’s former boss) was a serving RAF Officer, on (a relati...

I don't think anyone is stupid enough to suggest in good faith that a guy who was born abroad but ha lived here all his life, particularly someone whose parents were working abroad, should not be able to play for the country he grew up in. But there should be much stricter rules. A guy who never se...

Re: Borthwick OUT!!!
Appointing him at the time was good, reappointing him horrific. Absolutely. You could argue that England might have done better to throw the bank at Farrell or Edwards, but Jones was one appointment where you can actually say he was probably the most qualified coach available. I don't personally ra...

I honestly don't know why anyone listens to these blokes. It's just a constant stream of desperate contrarianism and faux outrage, while talking themselves up like they aren't the 9th biggest rugby podcast in the UK. It's more of a shame, because they were once a shining light of actual analysis in...

Tell that to the jocks who couldn't win a game for 20 years. "You just didn't want it enough, bawbags" Beating England mattered to the Scots because no matter how hard they tried they rarely won. Scottish teams were always fired up as they tried to break that record, they were just not good enough....

Re: The OFFICIAL Scotland v England Match Thread
I thought Cole played well. He caught Kinghorn and the 14 in open play, not bad for a pensioner. Cole had his best game in an age. You're getting a bit carried away with the commentators praising him for a couple of kick chases. He touched the ball three times and made 5 tackles. Contrast that with...

Would love to know what the players are thinking, particularly the more senior ones. I imagine some are there because they have bought into the culture and have a mix of delusion and self interest. For the younger guys it must be very frustrating and confusing. Cannot be a good environment.

Never expected England to win, but if only we could put a good performance together There were better signs... Not so bad all in all. Yes there’s a lot to like. But we forced so much. I think we need to try F Smith, Ford is making too many mistakes. Its so frustrating, england have all the power but just cannot get a sequence of play going without making silly errors. I think we need to slow it down and play more percentage passes (assuming they can pass). Ford isn't playing wel...
