cheers, cb. be nice if leeds and blues make it through to the semis and meet again in the final. on the upside, i got to have a brief chat with lanny yesterday and expressed what i think most english rugby fans would feel: he's made us proud of our team again. so wasn't all bad. :) He was at the ga...

'fraid not, cb. but i'll looks like i could be down next season... :( as for tubby; what a disaster that bloke has become. no wonder he's been dropped from the international panel. i was on that side that dodge got his try (sat in the sun behind the dead ball line) and he simply did not ground the b...

Re: The Championship Scores on the Doors thread....
I have to admit the youth thing has been mentioned, from the point of view that Diccon coached a lot of them at age group and he sees them as 'his' players , but to the point of being a bit blind when it comes to selection and almost putting too much pressure on them. Rugby is not chavball, there i...

Oh dear Merry. What happened?? Very unexpected result this afternoon. well, i waited for 80 minutes, but the lads never showed up.. :frown: reckon they'll rightfully get a rocket after that performance. hopefully whoever we're playing next will get the brunt of it... I have a close family...

No idea Merry, there was no visible injury. He had a horrible first half though. The cheer that went up when he subbed himself was one of the loudest of the night! Have to give him credit for running the gauntlet of the crowd as he left the field, he got a fair bit of stick as he walked off ! caref...

Now now now people. Be careful what you write.... Which ref are you referring to Merry? Cos there were 2 tonight. I suspect (having been there) that there may be two very different views; 1st half, Blues were awful and Pirates were very very slick. Quick, tackles made (if a little high, o...

so, a draw and a loss for pirates so far. no wonder they're not happy.
we could be saying the same at leeds on sunday, mind...

The UK National Curriculum teaches about him getting rid of Charles I and then stops, for some reason, so I can see c69's bewilderment. You don't get a lot of Irish Olivers though, do you? Oliver Peyton is the only one I can think of. I know virtually nothing about his Irish escapades just as im sc...

well, i can't really comment on exe's strategy that season as we were in the premiership and i wasn't up to speed with this league. there's no doubt leeds are glad of the play-offs this time round though. without them, and given our current financial situation, we'd have had little chance to rebuil...

that's probably the most difficult fixture of the pool, so we'll take that.Penzance 14 - 14 Leeds
looks like the rest of the fixtures went according to seedings.

There was an article in a couple of days old Metro I was reading this morning saying that Marmalade consumption in Britain is declining rapidly. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US? People start drinking Lager, stop wearing suits, and now, worst of all, we aren't putting Marmalade on our toast. Frankly as a co...

Re: The Championship Scores on the Doors thread....
As a Bedford supporter, I hope Bristol win the play-offs. Having a knock-out system to decide promotion is ridiculous. To stay in the Premiership you need to win throughout the season- which is exactly what is not needed in a promotion knock-out. it's a fair point. but them's the rules. though inte...

it's great this play off system, isn't it?
just 2 points behind our targets now, and only have to improve on one place over the next 6 games to make the semis. good stuff.
rhinos won the grand final coming from 5th place last season, so here's hoping tykes go one better!
