Re: CricketBoks moving forward

Yes PN, Zim 176/4 after 20 overs.

Albie is very expensive and SA let's him bat too low down, never has time to make an impact with the bat. And tbh, it's been a long time since he's made meaningfull runs.

Shocker from Parnell, 61 from his 4 overs. Just get him out of the side and keep him out. :x
Another Shocker from Parnell, 33 of 3 overs. Albie Morkel just as expensive, these 2 players need to be dropped ASAP.

Re: Unexplainable *Miraculous* Sporting Triumphs

SA beating Aus with the last ball in THAT ODI a few years back. Aus post the biggest ODI total ever, SA beat it. Good shout. I watched the first innings, decided that there is no way this could end well for SA and watched movies and took a nap. Got woken up later by the crazy screams of my flatmate...

Re: CricketBoks moving forward

I hate it when people select bowlers because they can bat a bit. Your top 6 plus wicketkeeper should get the runs and your 4 bowlers (plus allrounder in top 6) should get the wickets. Yes it's nice if your tail can wag a bit when the top 6 fail, but that should be the exception rather than the rule.

Re: 2012 S15 Nieks Thursday Mornings Boney Tips for the week

I am thinking along the line of:
Blues vs Canes
Rebels vs Force
Tahs vs Sharks
Saders vs Cheetahs
Brumbies vs Highlanders
Bulls vs Reds
Lions vs Stormers

Still have to pick and just waiting for the final teams to colour in the scores.

Change around the Highlanders for the Brumbies.

Re: Cricket: Protea tour to NZ

I think thay have targeted 19 year old Quinten de Kock (Under 19 skipper) to be long term keeper. Just too young at the moment, so now they are playing Thami for 2 years or so. That's the only thing that would make sense.

Re: Cricket: Protea tour to NZ

Due to his bad back, De Villiers will not keep in a test. Tahir have be average, but really, we have no one better to replace him. Give him a few more chances in conditions more spin-friendly than SA.

6 is imo one place to high for Vettori.

SA have the same problem. Boucher at 7 and the bowlers are all mugs with the bat.
