Re: Concussion - You ever had it?
Got concussed during an intra-mural high school game. Can't remember exactly how it happened but I'm sure I had my head on the side side of the leg when making a tackle as I was still pretty new to the game. Anyway, I "woke up" later in the match while on my feet and running around and otherwise app...

Re: Using the wrong words in place of similar sounding words
Can't believe the thread has got this far without the 'lose' vs. 'loose' or 'loser' vs. 'looser' misuses we've all seen over the years. Drives me f**king nuts to see people who can't get even a simple 4-letter word correct, and yet English is supposed to be their native language.

A great trip except for the accident obviously. Thanks for the reporting.
I'm more of a beach/scuba/snorkeling guy than a mountaineer, so it's probably unlikely I'll go to Nepal.
But at least now I know who to travel with when there's a suspect beach access that needs a guinea pig to lead the way.

Re: Time to decriminalise all drugs?
There is another benefit to legalization which hasn't been mentioned here yet. We could finally get some well-designed scientific studies on drug addiction to determine exactly what makes certain individuals addicts while other people are casual users and never feel compelled to continue. Part of it...

Great stuff, I was expecting a weakened squad but this is much better.
I expect they will get at least 2 wins with that squad, hopefully 3.

He's a f#cked up sadist. I've always thought if he plays for England I won't watch the game, and I still feel that way. And if bomber selects him because they're old mates then that's really crap. Makes me like bomber a lot less. My thoughts exactly. As a neutral, I won't be supporting England if t...

No not yet, they may have 10 years or more left. But my prediction of the future is 2 or 3 manufacturers of very simple low performance low cost electric powered robo taxis. The ratio of cars to people will be (wild guess) 1/5 th of today's level. If this happens the total market for new cars (simp...

Hilarious video. I hate working legs but I do it every week. Not just for looks/strength, but also as as form of preventative medicine: as a middle-aged guy, I know I'm a whole lot less likely to get a strain/tear anywhere in my legs or lower back if I do my leg workouts regularly. I don't want to b...

Vanilla Sky Yeah me too. And cruise's war of the worlds. And Troy I like Troy as well. The battle between Hector and Achilles was brilliant. Yes, I thought it was one of the most realistic (for Hollywood, anyway) and iconic hand-to-hand combat scenes I've ever seen. The fact the movie didn't adhere...

What an exciting match. Both teams wanted to run it and kept running all game despite the dodgy turf which must have killed off more than half-a-dozen promising attacks. The final score is a bit harsh on the Wallabies who played very well until the Boks unleashed hell on them with some impressive of...

'Could sell sand to the arabs' and other such sayings are really not useful in B2B. OK, but where would they have gotten the hydrogen from? What if oil and coal didn't exist or were much more difficult to extract?
