14 million with a first dose of vaccine in the UK according to the latest figures (around 21% of the population). Only 0.5million with 2 doses, but that will increase in time. Very positive for the UK right now. Cases dropping by about 25% per week - and deaths now also falling at that rate. But th...

But, yep, that's not really a fair metric considering some of the absolute dross we've seen fit to shoehorn into the midfield over that time. 15 years means 5 different England head coaches, 4 World Cup cycles and countless great white hopes that failed to cut the mustard in the mea...

Dom Cummings' qualification is to excise errant civil servants, politicians and now scientists from positions of influence. Laughably, some of our "usual suspects" were giving a reason for the anonymity of the SAGE members and the sudden introduction of non publication of its minutes for the durati...

There seems to be some kind of shared wisdom going on now that a tight lockdown is clearly the only way to have behaved and that the government was remiss in not doing so sooner. I'll admit I also felt that way. However the below-linked interview with Professor Johan Giesecke changed my mind. The Pr...

Lot of misinformation in this thread, unsurprisingly. We are not supposed to 'just take our car for a drive' to keep it ticking over. That is certainly not essential travel. The below explains the few things you need to do each week to keep your car in working order. https://www.which.co.uk/news/202...

Chubster loves to snipe from the sidelines.. Yeah, I was really into Money Heist for a while there. Was very happy when the second chapter was released since I thought it was a two-parter. As title says which GOATs of past would you say would struggle today with evolution in athletes, strategy and rules? One player who really stands out to me is guy like a Shane Williams who would be too small and too slow for the game against the massive wingers we have today tbh. That may just be o...

If your potatoes are in a patch how do you earth them up? I only had about a dozen plants so it was easy enough to reach in there with a shovel full of soil. It is not a carte blanche to the police, they have to be acting proportionately. Again I go back to my previous point that a recently retired Supreme Court Judge probably has a good idea on what is lawful/proportionate and he says Derbyshire police are out of line. I've read enough dissenting opini...

Putting my first lot of potatoes in today. How much do you lot space between plants? I've already got carrots, onions, parsnips and rubarb in the ground but it's the first time anything's been planted in this soil so no idea how it'll play out. Plenty of worms though so at least that's a good sign....

Marler has always been slightly out of kilter with the other players. I find him quite likeable for that, if nothing else (frankly, the typical rugger bloke is a bit of a twit - see Haskel for exhibit a).
