Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
That counter attack for the first try though likely doesn't happen in previous games though. That ball is hoisted high. Maybe, but I'm not convinced by the all-or-nothing narrative. I'd certainly agree that Furbank is a more natural attacking threat, but it's silly to pretend that Steward was just ...

Re: U.S. politics thread and Joe Biden-the Ronan O'Gara of U.S. Presidents
I'd sort of get the argument Biden is saving his political capital, but for what? He's bad on housing, education, health, the judiciary, guns... Define "bad" Do you mean you disagree with the very clear policy positions in each of those areas, the legislation that has already been passed, or that y...

Re: U.S. politics thread and Joe Biden-the Ronan O'Gara of U.S. Presidents
And yet he's done nothing about the balance of power on the Supreme Court in 4 years, nothing about the corruption shown by those sitting on the courts. So it's all very well telling them where to go, but actually do something would you please. The only thing going for Biden is he's not Trump, clea...

Re: The Official and ONLY England v Ireland Match Thread
A blatant capture cap. I'd be surprised if we see him again outside of an Autumn test or injury crisis. Pfft, not good enough to get into any other side he is eligible for. I prefer to see him as a speculative pick that hasn't worked out. On the plus side, he was a solid 6/10 against Italy. So he's...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Is George Ford going to continue to f*ck our backline by throwing the ball yards over the heads of his centres? Has he always been this sh*t at passing? He may never have been a world class fly-half, but he had world class attributes. His ability to spot space and put the ball exactly where it need...

Feyi Waboso replacing Elliot Daly. 8) Excellent news. Mind you, I thought we'd finally moved on from Daly when Eddie jettisoned him a few years back so I won't get too excited. What better time to bring in a young player than against the best team in the tournament. He'll have plenty of opportunity...

"9-0" As it should be. Like the Orangeman or not, lawfare should not be waged to prevent fair elections from occurring. A dangerous precedent which paves the way for future autocracy. The public should be trusted to solve such questions at the ballot box and I find it unseemly for lawyers to divine...

As a comment on the primary I read an article on interviewing 15 of Halley's supporters. France are very lucky not to be bottom of the table. They lost to Scotland, but got rescued by the ref, and they should have list to Italy. They should be on 2 points, not 6.

It's fun for the England lads, but this is a pointless fixture. The full Portuguese side might have given us a clue how these younger England players might perform, but this is just... silly.

I'd actually disagree, the sparks and the patterns are there. It's just sloppy execution killing us. It's certainly better than the last 6N game. Still some shit selections. How the hell hasn't Feyi-Waboso played earlier. He's absolutely electric and that useless wit kant Daly has been wandering around to no effect for about five years. Borthwick's selection is absolutely shocking. Almost as bad as Brace's ability to call 'maul'. Too much flair for England. They'll kno...

Scotland have been excellent today. Well played. Lots to think about for England. Scotland have been... fine. Nothing great. They were better against France. The main difference has been basic skills. Scotland had them, so capitalised on England's mistakes. England didn't, so failed to capitalise o...

Re: The OFFICIAL Scotland v England Match Thread
Ford is a much better defender than he's credited with, partly because he's not so big. He won't smash players in the tackle, but throughout his career that's meant he has targeted the ball in the tackle. He may often lose ground in contact, but he often wins turnovers.

So with Martin in and Pearson dropped, numpty will be selecting a lock in the back row. That signals to me no intention to change the style of play, more dull 10 man rugby based on forward dominance which has not been a reality for over 5 years. Ewels in but Pearson out, crazy. Right let me say som...

Odd situation coming up. Do the Dems risk trotting out Joe for debates when he can't remember much or do they admit he is mentally defective by canceling and/or failing to show up at all? Need less time in the gym and time with the ball on the grass in competitive situations. Oh, and pick a coach and players with a brain. Always interesting that sometimes perception isn't reality. Borthwick in his press conference, said that in round 1 of the 6 nations, England kicked 5th out of 6th, in most kicks in a match. Ireland, France, Scotland and Italy kicked more than us. Now it certainly doesn't feel that way, but maybe i...

About ten years ago when BT got the rights to the premiership and it was getting a lot of interest and the world cup was coming up, I was very optimistic.
