Re: It’s official, Brits are soft.
In other news the BBC is advising football fans that the Diet Coke, orange juice and bottled water served in German bars do not contain alcohol and are what are known as "soft drinks". Also, Marianna Spring is investigating claims from an X user (formerly Twitter) with 17 followers that Germans driv...

Re: Should McGrath have received a red card?
I think calling him a useless boofhead for not getting his shoulder into the player's mid-section and driving him into touch should be sufficient punishment. Can't see anything that warrants even a penalty.

Re: LRZ
Obviously take this with the tiniest pinch of salt, particularly given the habana figure which I find highly unlikely, but these are ruck's totally made up numbers. https://www.ruck.co.uk/top-10-fastest-rugby-players-of-all-time/ Yeah, Nigel Walker ran 10.47 and that would have been properly timed....

Re: Baltimore bridge has collapsed.
This is the bridge in Hobart I mentioned earlier. A bulk carrier struck it, killing 12; five in cars and seven on the ship. If you look closely you can spot two cars dangling over the far edge. https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/b12a242fdeb909ed01d63c80d7e2f1badd68e742/0_0_3937_2610/master/3937.jpg?wid...

Re: Jeremy Guscott v Manu Tuilagi - who was better?
My thoughts of Guscott are sullied by his drab punditry over many, many years, but he's probably one of England's best ever backs. Even at his 1990s amateur level he'd walk into today's England team.

As bad on his 1st cap as his 101st Things are finally looking up He should have gone after the world cup, but I suspect he and Scabbers had some kind of gentlemen's agreement to get him to 100. If that’s true, I’d hate that. It’s the national team, the ultimate me...

The ex-London Irish fellow at Gloucester - Englefield - looks a decent prospect lower down the age list. Doesn't dither, with a snappy service and lovely pass. He’s been fantastic so far and a big reason behind our (slight) upturn in form. Has a mammoth boot on him and is really sharp in pretty muc...

To be fair to LRZ he does have some tidy footwork but it's hard to see why would teams favour him over players in the draft that are quicker and have actually played the game. Jordan Mailata is the only success story because he's an absolute freak athletically. He'll basically be another team masco...
