Re: 2024/2025 Champions Cup

Taking Michael's as an example (4 players for Leinster at the weekend). There are no scholarships. It's first come first served. Also, schools in Ireland can no longer have waiting lists or favour children of past pupils (or if they do only a small percentage). They absolutely find space for someon...

We're still well short of the arrogance Munster supporters displayed from 2000 until, roughly, 18.36 on May 2nd 2009. It's not like it's the Munster branches job to develop the game in their province or anything. Nope. Two rugby popular cities in cork and Limerick. A large farmer strength region to...

Reality is that for years you lot pricked around rather than developing properly - you didn't use the advantages given to you properly and needed to be reigned in. I think we have been given serious leeway on the TP debt, but that's as much payback for the province having dragged Irish rugby throug...

The only thing worse than not getting what you want is getting what you want. 40% clawback on CCs mostly affecting Leinster but prospectively hitting the other provinces as they get them. I think they got rid of that when they introduced the up to 30% clawback on CCs. IRFu still gets revenue from stadium rental.

90% of their games are one-way processions - I'm genuinely amazed their numbers are so high. Yeah because getting to the same stadium is brutal A noticeable lack of kids and 'country' rugby club gear at LR last night. It's crazy that the likes of Nowlan park hasn't been used but the time to do it was now with the RDS closed. Beyond that it should be making that a home again and selling out every single game (including the ones moved to Lansdowne Road). A half full Aviva for regular season games is rubbish, zero ...

I'd have moved most games to the Aviva and looked elsewhere in the province for a couple of games a year. I think West Dublin could do with a 20k- 25k stadium for GAA, rugby and football. I’d agree with that, even to have the bigger ground in Kildare/Meath, close to a train line for access from tow...

Going again with the RDS was a huge mistake imo. I agree. Just repeating the same 'Donnybrook' mistake. We need a 30 - 35k stadium, which I think could be done in the RDS by redeveloping the 'Grandstand'. The RDS own the ST Mary's Church site as well. Getting funding could be a tad difficult though...

Pretty sure Bordeaux play in a ~35k stadium and sell out every single week. They averaged 24k last year I think, has it increased? What is fairly remarkable about Leinster's attendances is the quality of the opposition and also the fact that we regularly play B/C teams. That's partly why the Barret...
