Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
my starting 15 from that.... Denis Coulson(Connacht) Did this deal actually go through? He's already played this season for them. That's pretty definitive so. How has he played? Only saw him against Kings so too early to make any sort of judgement. And nobody went well last week in fairness to him....

Re: The Offical GAA Thread
I don't like either side but I was certain when Mayo got the goal that they had it. I haven't a feckin clue why Moran or Boyle needed to be replaced and it changed the game. Moran didn't put a foot wrong all year. I know Dublin Joe is getting both barrels but I though Vaughan cost ye more than any r...

Was wondering this too but Leader and Healy were fairly good, even if the former can fluff a tackle. Healy in particular seems to have worked on his defending big time in the summer.unseenwork wrote:Is Scholes injured?

CJ Stander was never in the Hill for the hurling. Bundee justifying Irish selection on that alone.
Great day and will be a better night in Pearse Stadium for the homecoming.

1. The Shield (Chiklis one not the wank comic book guff. It's honestly the most exciting show I've ever seen from the first ep till the best final ever on TV) 2. Sopranos 3. The Wire (Though the journalism arc is awful) 4. Band of Brothers (Mini-series but it counts imo) 5. Breaking Bad (Think it ge...

Austin Gleeson is such a little scamp. He'll absolute do something warranting a red in the final and get away with it.
Also Waterford are a super team. They'll win this final I'm afraid to say.

Canning is still injured. He can't run and his distribution today was non-existent for the mostpart but my f**king God did he pull the win out of the fire.
Tickets are going to go gold dhust for the final regardless of who makes the final between Blaas and Cork.
Up yours, Tipp posters

Rossies play lovely football tbf and with a win the next day they'll have backed up all the big talk from their supporters in the last 3 years or so.
The traffic was the worst I've ever seen for a non-AI final day.

Rossies missed their chance imo. That early lead was massive. Still a super free at the end to level after Cillian O'Connor put on a bottler tour de force. Really enjoyable game after Galway shat the bed in front of goal all game long prior.

Re: The Offical GAA Thread
Nearly 10 years since Galway-Kerry in the torrential rain. Time flies.
Either Galway will win the hearts of the nation with a respectable traditional footballing masterclass in a close defeat or we'll get a 15 point thumping. A win and I'm on the beer until the Tipp semi final the next Sunday.

It's not even remotely financially feasible to fix up Tuam. That's how awful the Board have used their funds in the last 15 years. I'm based in the city and have no issue going to Tuam for League games. But it's a kip. A new stand would be required and serious work done on the terraces to bring it u...

Galway will win of they do their job. If they turn up and think it will be easy, they could get caught. Full backs are ropey as shite this year. Rossies have been targeting this game since the fixtures were announced last year and an ambush is always possible. Big issue for Rossies is how brittle t...

Re: The Offical GAA Thread
The month layoff will be a huge factor though. Just because we have 6 (potentially 9) forwards capable of scoring in big games doesn't mean we won't be rusty in August. We beat a fairly transitional Cork side in 2012 because they died off early. With that said, guys like Joseph Cooney and Hanbury st...

Clare are there for the taking but McGrath and O'Donnell are absolute class hurlers. Limerick could have one that but their fullbackline was absolute ripped to bits. Podge and Tony Kelly were awful.
I dunno would they beat the Blaas but I think Clare could do Cork.

It's open and all but not as exciting as I was expecting. Like Connacht are capable of losing to anybody this season and yet they're causing huge problems when they run a smart line. They don't do that enough under Lam this season though. TOH literally ran directly into 5 Saints players at one stage...
