Technology has been hit and miss.
Great that you can fly from one side of the planet to the other in a day and you dont have to waste time and energy washing clothes by hand.
On the flip side technology replacing human beings in the workforce is gonna be catastrophic....

The Sweden democrats have doubled their votes in every election since 1998. In 20 years they have gone from a non entity (capturing less than 1% of the vote) to the third biggest party in the country.

The cutest story on Twitter today is Jamie Oliver's jerk rice and cultural appropriation. Or maybe Paris Jackson's apology for her recent indiscretion. I don't follow Twitter but the Beeb keeps me up to speed. Jamie Oliver or the sort of people who go around shrieking about cultural appropriation. ...

Clean needles don’t create junkies ffs. Due to its climate SF has always attracted hobos. As a tourist I was surprised to find them living in downtown tourist areas, ie beside 4 and 5 star hotels. My experience of them is that whilst they panhandle, they are not at all aggressive about it. That has nothing to do with the gentrification o...

There's a pretty fundamental concept in modern Western society getting lost in this, and that is that a person does not have a right to the body of another. Yeah, I'd agree with that wholeheartedly. It's at an individual person's discretion who they allow into their personal space and no-one has th...

NZ's dominance at international level is easy to explain but the real fascinating one is the degree to which one team dominates the domestic rugby scene to the extent that it does. You would figure that for all NZ's excellence at rugby that the NPC would be shared around but it's been won by Canterb...
