Re: Welsh Regions gone..
The English on this bored supporting the move see it as a way of destroying the HEC, ERC and weaking the unions - why would they give a fudge about Newport coming to play? I refer you to my previous answer: Bill, the Irish and Scots are quite rightly very concerned about their future. You are never...

It's a question of extent surely. The need to qualify for Europe/ avoid relegation means there's an inbuilt constraint in regard to what kind of team you can get away with fielding. After their HEC game, Saints rested 3 vs Wasps away (and won) in front of 7,000, Leinster rested 11 vs Edinburgh away...

I don't see how the WRU can stop the regions joining the AP. No governing body can stop any teams leaving their governance and joining another competition. The WRU can say whatever it likes, they can't stop the regions leaving. If they go to court, they will lose. If the WRU does not sanction the m...

They're mostly indifferent. A few are enjoying the spite as they see the Irish as the culprits for some reason in scuppering the RCC, Bill is a good example. I know this is all speculation anyway, but in the interests of trying to understand Woger's assumed vision, is this basically right: He wants 3 centrally contracted regions, even if it means they are based outside the major population centres. He thinks they'd still be viable commercial entities, a...

It is also thought that part of the BT deals in Wales is dependent on the calibre of player still in Wales next season, with six prominent players – including Sam Warburton and Leigh Halfpenny – all yet to agree deals with their regions.
