Re: League players are no good in Union

What international aspect. There's a handful of countries that play the sport. Neither here nor there. When the few countries that did play it and also field rep teams used to tour here, it was a major and well-supported event. The touring team would play district and state rep teams as well as Aus...

Re: League players are no good in Union

I think league players can be successful in rugby but they need to take the time to learn the game. That does not mean playing for a couple of years and giving it up if they aren't a first team starter for the All Blacks/Wallabies/England. RTS was a guy who came over to try to make it big and left ...

Is there a mercy rule in Super rugby? Mercy is a stranger to super rugby. And super rugby is a stranger to mercy: homo homini lupus in Hobbesian terms. The same applies, mutatis mutandis in terms of grammar, to the men’s and women’s soup comps. * Yes I really am trying to lure slugella out of hidin...

This bit - looking back to college protests during the Viet Nam war - annoyed the shite out of me. In the same way, we now remember the Vietnam War as an American tragedy. Half ack ftom leahue to union would be unsuitable because space is given to the leahue halfback to pass. They usually take a step. You need to pass off the ground from union. I wonder how much longer Israel can count on unconditional support from the US? It seems more and more people in the US, particularly in the younger generation, aren't willing to accept that Israel are the plucky underdogs holding the moral high ground in the region. There's still a large and very ...

I can’t say for sure, but I suspect a society would need to be in pretty good shape for decimalisation to work. There are schools of thought that alcoholism and chronic addictions are a symptom. Can we just admit once and for all that League players are inferior in our code. Based in current form, I'd think McKenzie has a strong argument. He certainly has been the first choice 10 in SR Pacific, this weekend no exception. Daylight second too. I can't even think who the next best is. Ditto. NFI. Several Russian tank armies could pass through that gap side by side.
