That's not true. The illnesses were widely reported in NZ on the Saturday evening (NZ time) about 8 hours before the game.

I studied that quite a lot, Tehui. Lost 2 brothers to workplace injuries and got quite into Health and Safety about 25 years ago.

Turns out it really is a con in all but the most dire of cases. It's about punishment, not prevention in this country.
