Whilst that's true, there's also fudge all the rest of us can do about it. It's ok to assume that the sex which commits the most assault might be assaulters? some serious double standards at play here. There might be something we can do. Jimmy Spithill comes across as a very classy individual, you can see why he's such a great captain. A follow into the trenches kind of guy.

The commentators on TVNZ with the exception of the experienced competition sailors on the panel, are in full crow mode and have been for a few days. Must be a difficult sport to present on TV. The main hosts have to appeal to people like me who know nothing, and then you have experts appealing to p...

It took nearly an entire page for someone to quote the actual rule. Good stuff PR
I always thought that it was a referee's judgement call as to whether you had a "reasonable" chance of catching it. Turns out I was wrong.

It's not obtuse. A dodgy copper, who by all accounts showed all the signs of being a complete nutjob shortly before this happened, has allegedly abducted and murdered a girl walking home, possibly with a female accomplice. As a result, every catcalling and "unwelcome look" from men to women is bein...

Re: Anyone for Man Curfew?
A "men are bad, women are good" approach to a serious issue of violence against women, or the wider issue of violence in society in general is very unlikely to produce a solution. You'd prefer a 'very fine people on both sides' approach? The reality is that it's not women raping and murdering men i...

No way - if it can be spoken, it can be written. And better. And clearer. If it’s complex - where questions answers are not binary - call.

Trying to arrange a first home purchase and it appears it's 1974 - no one responds to email. Is this a professional thing? Is it too impersonal? Phone is horrible, horrible horrible. Also: Monty Panesar has made bombshell claims about the England cricket team that question whether its treatment of the ball in the field was legal throughout his international career. The former England spinner, who played 50 Tests between 2006 and 2013, played a crucial role in ball-maintenance f...

Re: Simon Doull - what is his problem?
I honestly think it is variation between the balls themselves that is causing them to swing or not - essentially a fault in the manufacturing process where each ball is different. Tim Southee took 7 for f%ck all against in England in CWC2015, swinging the ball late by a foot. When it was England's t...
