Compare the efficiency of CH4 + 2 x O2 = CO2 + 2 x H20 to burning oil, coal, peat etc. Its massively more efficient. Plus it destroys methane which is 25 times worse than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. The fact a lot of it comes from Russia is irrelevant
