Re: NZ Politics Thread
Key publicly disliked the idea of co-governance on Te Urewera. I've tried to find any comment from any Nat MP on either Waikato or Te Urewera governance since settlement and it's hard to find anything directly relevant.

My weekend has now been rescued. All is well with the world :D You know that had the left got up, Jordie wouldn’t have been under that ball and Ireland would have won :P  Dead on analysis. I'll only believe this if the rugby results continue in this direction for, say, the next couple of weeks...

Tons of unpredicted individual things in that outcome too. National: Simon O'Connor out (good riddance) Labour: Michael Wood, Nanaia Mahuta, Rino Tirikatene, possibly Phil Twyford Greens: Julie-Anne Genter in. Looks like Greens could be much more of an electorate spoiler for Labour if they run two-t...

Actually, looks like an absolute shellacking in Auckland. New Lynn, Te Atatu, Mt Roskill, Mt Albert. Nothing out of South Auckland and potentially Central Auckland that isn't blue.

I must copy that link to use whenever I ask the bordies on this thread, especially Eugenius, a slightly technical tax question. Because that is the consistent response I get. It's such a stupid question. Who gives a flying fvck what he spends on groceries each week? Who knows what his domestic arrangements are? Maybe his wife does all the shopping because he is so busy. I'd forgotten about the 2nd January thing. I didn't think it'd have that much impact. With the superannuation, the age is going to have to increase at some point. So, who can make Petone on the evening of the 21st October?
