Re: DUNE 2:OFFICIAL THREAD

Thought the sound design was the best I've ever heard in a movie. The cinema needs a pretty high fidelity system not to destroy it though.

I've come to enjoy watching movies on the Apple TV with AirPods and spatial sound on. Suspect this will really work there when it comes to the small screen.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)

I think there's enough talent in Oz rugby for Schmidt go work with. A discipline and fit side with a good plan. Yep, if he makes good selections and has a decent game plan. But there was enough talent for Eddie to get us out of the pool too... Eddie had lost the plot by then. I'm saying that a stri...

Let the speculation begin...

It's probably just Sam Dastyari, right?
My money was on Andrew Robb, but I’m not sure if he fits the timeframe.
Was thinking Galdys Liu, but also don't think the timeframe is quite right.

Result was fair enough. Reds lucky to score Flook's try and unlucky not to get some others. Canes defended well with 14.

Re: OFFICIAL SR'24 Cpt Hurricane Canes vs Reds Thread, Sun 3 March (SUPER ROUND)

The referee needs to be made aware that he has two sides he's supposed to be reffing out there. Vary quick to spot an infraction by a Hurricanes player, but needs a bloody telegram from the sideline before he will call anything against a Red. Stop whining. McReight was hard done by there, which all...

Will be an even easier win for the Canes. No more than 1 Oz team ever beats a Kiwi team per weekend. I doubt the Reds will get within 30.

Do you link BR with BR 2049?

Still think 2049 is Denis' best movie.
BR2049 is great. Not sure it's better than Arrival though.

What a win. Huge from Gordon and Edmed. Gamble and Holloway good in the forwards. Gleeson tried to throw it away though.

Enjoyed last night's win by the Rebels. They suddenly remembered how to play after half time. Entertaining match. Some of their Wallabies contingent were very good too - mainly Kellaway and LSL.

It was only 13 years ago the Wallabies had Anthony Fainga'a and Pat McCabe as first choice centres. Things have improved. I guess they were never hyped though.

Definitely nothing to do with increasing Chinese influence in the Pacific, and the 'free' loans they're giving out.

NSW had some really good patches, but strategically they were well behind. I was surprised how well Lynagh directed things. Front foot ball does make the decision to kick or pass a lot easier though.

FaIr chance it will be a wettish game, if the BOM radar is any guide. Being a big softy, I'll be taking my aged maroon rain jacket and a sensible cap. Also, a walking stick - sod walking down wet steps when dry steps are proving tricky right now. Also considering wearing pants. If I remember. Still...
