Re: South Africa Out!
What some Saffer posters who live in SA probably don't also realise is that more and more of the SA S15 games shown on Sky Sports uk are being moved to the 'on demand' service simply because they do not get the ratings to be shown on a main sports channel. Conversely pretty much all the NZ and most ...

Whilst probably not in her target audience anyway, I'm not sure what the fuss is about apart from the fact that she's 17 She seems quite awkward as a performer, not great live . Re: Official Match Thread:Cheetahs VS The Mighty Chiefs
First chance I have got to have a look at the game and unfortunately again the shocking performance of the Saffer officials is the focus of what should be remembered as a cracking game of rugby. The first try from a blatant knock on followed by a blatant forward pass was simply incredible but to be ...

Re: IRB Law Clarification - Knock on or not
So what happens when a player rips the ball from an opponent and the opponent then tries to regain control of the ball, bobbling it around a few times before it eventually goes forward and touches the ground, is that a knock on or not? Two separate incidents. The way I see it the ball carrier is no...

The sad thing is, the All Blacks have never had a great halfback in my time . Which has been dominated by Marshall and to a lesser extent Kelleher over a lot of that period. And then Weepu. None of those were great passers. EDIT: Bless Aaron Smith of course, with his snappy pass. He will keep thing...

Re: Stephen Jones' Shocking Greatest Teams of All Time
Mid 70s NZ rugby wasn't very strong - the 76 team was easily the weakest to tour SA. JJ Stewart was a visionary, and I have a theory that he as much as anyone is responsible for the great NZ back play now. But it was pretty shit back then. Takes a generation to turn these things around. your back p...

Re: The OFFICIAL Capt Hurricane Hurricanes v Bulls Fred
I wouldn't be surprised to see some major changes in the backrow. If Shields and Vito are fit then there is a good chance that they will be involved, Shields power is definitely going to be needed to help combat the Bulls pack and Vito needs to be brought in to give some added options to the lineout...

Re: The targettng of Frans Steyn Horne and Steyn cited
First time I have seen the tackles and can clearly understand why they were both cited.
Fair bit of intent in both of them and definitely a good chance of some serious injury occurring. I hope both of them get a rest from the game for a couple of weeks, totally unnecessary.

Had Caucau been eligible for NZ in '03 he wouldve walked straight into the ABs. I think you are forgetting just how good Joe Roks was in '03 so I don't believe it would have been as easy as you think. Big Joe also had the advantage of: 1) Could actually chase back after a ball behind him 2) Could a...

Caucau scored tries that no other player in the history of the game could have scored , and did it against defences set up to stop him such is the measure of how good he was, it was a crying shame his full potential was never realized. Put him in the centre's
League backs such as Tahu, Tomkins, Paul etc have looked way out of their depth playing international rugby in the centre's......and they had experience of playing in somewhat similar positions.

That reviewed try to the lions was disgraceful. I'm not so convinced, IIRC the law talks of losing the ball in the tackle but does that extend to having the ball slapped back? Not dissimilar to the Chiefs try on Friday. The Chiefs try came from a ball being passed out of the tackle that was knocked...
