Re: WR: No new global calendar
Sorry... factual and relevant doesn’t apply, hence my scorn. The simple and relevant factor is population and the need for infrastructure to fill a variety of needs. NZ’s current home of rugby doubles as a cricket ground, ffs. We would love a purpose built rectangular ground stadium but the economy...

It could be like when Wigan played Sale. 40mins of League and then swap to Union at half-time. Sale won the game Wash your mouth out with soap. Wigan played Barf and smashed em. Not a pic but found a very interesting doc on Youtube: Japan vs. Italy - The Forgotten Pacific War

Honestly had no idea there was conflict between Italy and Japan in the Pacific theatre.

How does Akira Ioane make the team of the week when bored rugby authority jdogscoop insisted he was 'a lazy sack of shit' in the match thread? There weren't any standouts at 6 this week . Between this match and the Chiefs/Hurricanes match last week, this is the first time I've watched Super rugby in years. It's not bad, the standard is decent. I'm not entirely sure of the format so don't know what the results of these matches mean. The biggest difference I can see to the northern he...

Re: Chiefs vs Blues: MATCH THREAD: Saturday 20th June
I don't want to sound like I have a hard-on for Joe Marchant but his form pre-lockdown was excellent for the most part. He deserves at least a bench spot. Interesting positioning for Akira at six. This means he has to get stuck in more at ruck time but may also suit his close-in running game to get...

I see Boris was exulting in the benefits of a UK - Aus FTA the other day. According to him the big win would be the UK being able to import Tim Tams. I kid you not. If the global calendar isn't agreed now, it will never be agreed. We don't want it. It's not about finding an agreement. Well the Six Nations unions apparently do want it I think discussing it is a better term, which in itself is a bit of a mindset change. I think even the 6N unions are aware that ...

The SANZAR countries have protctionist policies in place and do NOT want to hire PI internationals. Too many penalties to have a flowing game but the ref was very consistent.
Will take a bit of time for players to adapt, just hope the balance especially at the breakdown works out.
