And Feek was very highly thought of too.
Foster was part of the setup that saw NZ win a record number of tests in a row as well wasn't he?

Re: The New Official 11th/12th July Bonfire Fred
It is actually. Bonfires were historically lit to spread the word back in the day of victory by king William over king James. Where did they get their pallets from? It obviously wasn’t pallets FFS. :uhoh: Can you really not see how a huge event the sole purpose of which is commemorating protestant ...

Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
I think it was just a bandwagon. Some initial laughter at the idea gave way to a “RIC memorial” style reaction. McDowell was at it too. It’s a sin apparently for people in the council to be enthusiastic supporters of anything. Amazing scrutiny over public spending when people pine daily for money t...

They're definitely still favourites. Just checked Paddy power and the have an 8 point head start and are 3/1 onnot_english wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 5:24 pm I imagine the ABs will be favourites for the third test, the bookies gave them a 13 point head start for the last one.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
If a fired up NZ results in the same reaction as what happened after Chicago they will end up with 12 players on the pitch. NZ are on the back foot here. Truly extraordinary. I imagine they will be having their everest speeches and going full berserker. Table's are turned, this is massive now. Who'...

What about Harry Byrne now? He would have been starting these games if he didn't get injured. Frawley may not even have been playing at 10.

I know McCarthy gave away a lot of penalties and made a couple of mistakes, but I still think he is exciting. He didn't look out of place at all an was combative. If he can sort the mistakes out he'll be good.

Comfortable try in the end.
Good experience for a lot of players, that's a success for the midweek team

I'd say Herring is being kept for Saturday. Murray too, and Carberry wouldn't be on if there wasn't an injury.earl the beaver wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:49 am Strange that Herring and Bent haven't come on.

It absolutely pains me to say this, but PoM is undroppable atm. Keep the back row as it stands and change when it starts to become ineffective. This. First XV would be Hendo back in with Ryan on the bench for now. I like Conan off the bench as well. I'd like to see the same for Leinster if they can...

Ages added, for context. What's the issue though? When you don't have the horses, you don't have the horses. Carbery is a good backup ten. He's not good enough as first choice but neither are any of the other options. That's the thing. The Irish system has arguably produced/nurtured world class pla...
