Re: Axe/Splitting Maul advice

I chop a fair amount of logs and the only advise I would say is to get as think a head as possible, if the tree is fresh you don't want to be getting it stuck in log and taking 5 minutes to get it out again. I've had a few. I take it you mean just don't chop them when fresh if possible? Any thought...

Axe/Splitting Maul advice

Recently had a large tree come down in the garden which has now been reduced down by chainsaw into manageabe sized logs. The original plan of skipping them has been changed by higher management to chopping it up for firewood and a maul/axe needs to be bought. The reviews on sites vary wildly at time...

Given how shit Bath are I wonder if they would be interested in Robinson? Might make sacking him cheaper. I'm starting to think that Robbo will never get the best out of the current crop. As if that weren't bad enough, will our next international coach be one Scott Johnson? What are the stages of gr...

The only positive thing about next week is that Scotland only play well these days when I have completely written them off. Which I now have. Radical changes are needed in the backs. I detest supporters who boo their own players too. But in the case of Parks I can understand why . Playing a competitive international with Parks in your team is like tying all your backs' laces together before you begin. I cannot now and unlikely ever will understand those who would do that. It's ...

IMO Parks' last decent game for Scotland was 2 years ago, although I won't deny he was worthy of those MOTM awards he got at that time. Personally I have a lot of respect for him. He has stood up well to the vitriol and is clearly popular with the rest of the team. He took steps to try to address t...

Cusiter had played 9 pro games when he started for Scotland, and look how badly that went. I don't accept that Laidlaw hasn't had enough game time at 10. There are some players who need eased in, De Luca was one. He was superb for Edinburgh and was a rabbit in the headlights for Scotland. Others ta...

England ought to have a pretty good kicking game - beyond Parks is there anyone in the Scottish side likely to be influential with the boot? Good pack, should edge the whiney wit kant. How's Jammy at running the lineout? Gray seems to do ok but Kellocks absence is noticable at lineouts for Glasgow.
