Re: Who should the Boks call up?
What are the drawbacks, if any, of calling up another hooker? Would it be a good idea to call up another lock? Or another flyhalf? Or another back? What are the pros and cons? There are only 2 realistic options. Dweba or Pollard. Comes down to how ready Fourie is to step back into a specialist hook...

No. It is an Irishman ... Small wonder the Brits exported them as slaves to rhe Americas and the Carribean Isles, they can be insufferable... Nice excusing slavery because a sportsman hurt his leg, stupid. Small wonder SA finished last on "who do you want to see in a RWC final" polls on here. The M...

Re: Marx goooooooooone!
Bongi is a more accurate thrower than Marx so as long as he stays fit should still be OK. But if he is injured then it is very difficult Yeah, that’s just not accurate. Bongi’s lineout throwing hasn’t been better than Marx’s for at least the last 2 years. I actually cannot think of a single lineout...

Potentially terminal blow. Sounds like management are trying to convince themselves that they have enough hooker cover and will try use this as the chance to get Pollard back in. A real shame for Marx and team. Was interested to hear the Bok coaches talking of flankers with some hooker experience b...

Re: Marx goooooooooone!
I've always wondered exactly what they need to do here to say a player is injured. Most players have some sort of niggle these days so just how injured do you have to be and how do World Rugby confirm the injury? You have to be some team player to voluntarily give up a shot for a World Cup medal if...

Pat Lambie. Probably too nice for his own good. Although obviously can be very proud of a fantastic career, Joe Rockocoko initially looked like he would finish up as an all time great. 25 tries in his first 20 tests and he looked unstoppable. Instead he was gone from test rugby at 27 and doesn’t really get mentioned in the conversation of NZs gr...

Angus Bell > Stephen Klitshoff I hate lists like this but wanted to use the occasion to call out one of the most overrated players in the game. I’m not saying he can’t scrum - he’s very good - but Klitshoff does nothing much else. He’s slower than a wet wig and lumbers around for 40 mins. Bell gets...

It’s an utterly bizarre complaint. “Abusing the rules” Obviously a high risk play, which Nienaber confirmed when asked whether they’d consider it during the WC, but it’d actually take 3 backline injuries to create a real problem given the versatility across the backline and the option of playi...

The breakdown is absolute jokeshop and has been for an age. For decent NZ rugby content you need the Aotearoa Rugby Pod. On a side note, who is the bok kicking coach- the goal kicking has improved out of sight from earlier in the year. Miss thise Jackson and we could have had dreams of a late fight...

I don't think he launched himself at his head. It was an accident. A reckless accident, which could have at most got a yellow IMHO, but I can understand why it wasn't penalised. Nope. Unlucky for Williams. On the other hand, i...
